Farts - Kitty and Otherwise
Laura at work has two little kitties and one, she says, is "stiiiiiiiiinky". They'll just be sitting together then she'll hear a little "poof" and that cute little kitty will let loose a malodorous, odiferous fart. She says it's a good thing that little kitty is so cute.
Me, Audrey-kitty and I were parking together on the couch... and I couldn't help myself. I had to let the gas out when it wanted to get out. One was most heinous. She actually put her paw over her nose and pointed her head in the opposite direction of the odor.
Oh dear.

"Mer?"
Arnold?
Mer.
And he poked his head out from under the blankets. Then he went back to sleep.
So cute!
The Red Sock...
Arnold was so brave again last night --- he came into the kitchen again while I was getting the kitty dinner together. Audrey, of course, chased him back into my room. But he was adorable while he was here.

Arnold the Explorer
He's so cute!
That Arn!
Right now he's on the tower and playing with the straw hanging-thing-toy. But if I ever look over at him he stops.
I can juuuust see him out of the corner of my eye.
Now he's in the tunnel. Like a dustbuster.

Arnold the Twink
My bedroom door was open but Arnold jumped up to try to "open" the door and he pushed it closed!
Bang! I heard the door shut!

Chunky Chicken
No, it's a type of Fancy Feast that I tried for kb-kitty.
She ate the whole thing! (well, half a can with a scoop of her happy merp food). But seriously, she devoured it in one sitting. Without stopping!
I think she liked it.

You Didn't Really Want That Rose, Did You?
This morning... I found that rose on my bathmat, with the potty room door wide open so you couldn't see it.
Not too much damage... it's only in two pieces.

Psycho Arn
While I was brushing my teeth he ZOOMED into the bedroom, then ZOOMED into the bathroom, LEAPED onto the tub... OOPS! Lost his balance and slid into the tub! Scrabble scrabble scrabble, out of the tub and ZOOM back into the bedroom.
CB says she heard him zooming through the house last night. ZOOM past the poohlet room, into the front room, ZOOM out of the front room, heading to who-knows-where.

A Happy Merp...
And, guess who poured in all the happy food into the container without first taking out the scoop? Right... that would be me.
Oops.
Right now I have a dust buster beside me on the couch and a very merp-y Arn in the bedroom.

Arnold the Explorer
This morning I found a gigantic hair-dealy by my bathroom door. The kind that looks like it could be a headband. Or a ponytail holder for a giant.
He was bummed when I took it.

Audrey-kitty
Well, to be completely accurate... I had the computer on my lap and was trying to check mail and Audrey kept climbing onto my pook and turning around and around and trying to park on the 4 square inches I had available.
I noticed something on her pantaloons. What could it be? Oh, dear, a giant clump of dried litter.
I had to cut it out with scissors.
She was Not a Happy Kitty. But now she's clump-free.
Tuesday, December 1, 2009
You will NOT believe this...
No, really.
Right now I'm waiting for the fridge man and Audrey is neatly perched on the arm of the white couch. Arnold, I assume, is somewhere in his lair, doing Arnold-y-type things.

"Clink. Clink. Clink"
With all the stealth I could muster I put on my glasses and quietly made my way out of my bedroom and through the dining room. I heard a quiet "thud". I walked over the the sink. No one was there.
"Mer?", a little voice said from the fliving room. And that little mer said it all: "Oh, are you looking for me? Why, I've been here in the fliving room grooming my face the whole time."
Then he purred while I went back to bed.

Arnold?
Just then "Mrrrrrr-ow?" and here comes Arnold, slinking out from under my covers! He'd been completely covered! I didn't even know he was there!
And he looked cutely groggy.
There's a Dust Buster on the back on my chair
Oooohhhh, she doesn't know I'm writing about her. She just fell asleep.
Aaawwwwwwwww!
WHAT'S THAT NOISE???
At first I thought it was Arnold in the litter box.
But it went on a loooooong time. It sounded like he was scrabbling through papers or something. Oh no! is he shredding some newspaper or something in my bedroom???
Quick! turn on the light and put my glasses on.
It's Arnold all right... I had left his bag of kitty food on the counter and he had managed to:
- get if OFF the counter
- drag it through the kitchen and fliving room
- and into my bathroom!
I took it away and shut it firmly into the pantry.
He looked very perplexed. "Where did it go?"
Saturday, November 28, 2009
Hmmmmmm....
Let's ask Arnold.
He pleads the fifth.
Why is it So Bright?
Why is the kitchen so bright?
Arnold turned on the light on the stove! He stepped on the right button to turn on the light.
Crazy kitty!

The Merp Collar has Been Found!
I can only tell you that, this morning, it was on the floor by my bed.
As of this moment, it's around the neck of the Audrey-kitty. Holding up her bib.

SOMEONE is Very Busy in the Night
This morning I found, in my bathroom, a bathing suit bottom. The black one with the animal-print belt that was going to be mine but I don't fit into it so it's cb's. It was all rolled up in the towel on the floor in my bathroom.
Then I started to feed Audrey-kitty. She was sniffing something on the floor then tried to eat it. I go to investigate. It's a dried noodle. Where did that come from? Ohhhhhh --- SOMEone had found the partially-full noodle-bag that cb had left on the counter, gotten it open (it had been all rolled up) then removed at least one noodle (who knows how many others?)
And he looks so innocent, too.

Wednesday, November 4, 2009
Hmmmmmmm....
Came home from work tonight... no kitty to meet me in the laundry room.
BUT - the door to the cabinet under the sink was open. Hmmm...
Into the fliving room I go. I spy the shoelace.
But no kitty.
Move further into the fliving room. I spy one of kb's skating foot things... (you know, those things she wears instead of tights sometimes)
But no kitty.
Oh hi. Were you looking for me? I don't know who made that mess. But it couldn't have been me. (delicately and nonchalantly grooms face)
Hmmmmmm.
Poor Arn!
I came home from work last night and my bedroom smelled like Serious Business. In the litter box was a puddle of dark poop and on the floor of my bathroom was something. Not really sure what. Doesn't matter.
Call the vet. Dr. Thigpen thinks he has an infection so she has me come up and get an antibiotic for him to take twice a day for the next 10 days.
Went to the vet tonight for Dr. Thigpen to check how his eye is doing. Well... just ok. She gave us a new goop for his eye for the next 10 days.
He's still Cone Man as well as Goopy-Eye-Man and Antibiotic Man. Poor thing!

Arnold, the Sweetest Little Poohlet Kitty
Arnold climbed up onto my right side and scootched himself so that his front paws were resting on my shoulder. He parked his cone on my face... by my ear.
And purred us both to sleep.

Arnold Eats Breakfast
I was done and he was done so I got dressed. Then I put his cone back on and gave him his eye goop and pill. I was scooping out his litter box when I heard a slide-y / clunk-y noise.
It was Arnold!
He was trying to get the dregs of his breakfast out of the bowl but the cone kept pushing the bowl away. He was halfway across the floor!
So I held the bowl in place while he finished eating. Then I cleaned all the food clumps from his cone.
I Have a Llama
Last night Arnold had his new cone and his new eye goop, etc. I took his cone off so he could eat but then I put it back on for the rest of the night.
When we went to bed first he crawled all over me and purred. I was laying on my side so he parked on my side with his face parked on my shoulder. He was purring so loud and the cone was magnifying the sound. It was quite loud. Cutely, though.
Eventually, he climbed off my side and started to park on the pillow above my head. We both slept but he was kind of like kb's llama --- he would stretch and I would find an Arnold-kitty leg by my nose. Or he'd stretch and I'd feel an Arnold-kitty leg on the back of my head. It was sooooo cute.
Around 6 am, for some reason I was laying on my stomach. He climbed onto my back and parked and PURRRRRRRRED. It was so cute! Then my alarm went off. Even when I stretched over the get my phone to turn off the alarm he didn't move.
I finally had to reach behind my back and pooh him so he'd move so I could get up.
Wednesday, October 21, 2009
Awwwwwww!
She's parked on top of the couch... fast asleep. She's so cute!
Now I have to give Arnold his eye drop.
Sunday, October 4, 2009
Mom! Mom!
Ok!
Oh my gosh... it's Audrey-kitty! What do you have there? It's your other collar! Where was it? Oh, you're not telling.
Here it is, mom. Will you play with me? Or pooh me?
Thank you little kitty.
Saturday, October 3, 2009
Audrey is on Bug Patrol
Now she is very perplexed as to where the spider went. She is on the floor, by the kitty tower, staring intently at the wall.
And she has some fuzz on her whiskers.

Kitty Updates
Arnold Opens The Door!
I went to the potty and just closed the big bathroom door and not the potty door. I hear a little noise - like the noise you hear when he's trying to get out of the bedroom - and lo! and behold... the bathroom door opens slightly. Then a little kitty head slowly pokes its way through the door. "Mer?"
Audrey ParksAudrey-kitty was sweetly parked in the tunnel. I wanted to park with a kitty. So I gently took her ("Mer?") and we parked on the couch. She snuggled up on my pook, gave a big kitty sigh then fell right to sleep. So did I.
Arnold and The DoorHe didn't know I was watching... I was parked on my bed and Arnold sauntered toward my door. Then he LEAPED up and grabbed the door handle! I think if he had pushed down on the handle he might actually have gotten it loose enough to open. Or if he had opposable thumbs. As it was, he just rattled the door and nothing happened. Whew!
Wednesday, September 9, 2009
I Park with Arnold
Audrey-kitty was a little bit put-out at first but settled down.
Until....
4 am
Remember when we had Steve in the carrier in the garage? That's what she sounded like. From 4am to 5am. I thought she was going to lose her voice.
Of course, she was fine right after breakfast. In fact, if you could see her now, you wouldn't even think it was the same kitty... She's all curled up in the trench.

Arnold Weighs 10 Pounds
Arnold walked over the scale and turned it on.
Then, he stepped on it and stayed on long enough to actually register.
He weighs exactly 10.0 pounds.
Oh that striped man!
Monday, September 7, 2009
Oh That Arnold!
When I came home I was thoroughly investigated by Arnold Bdot --- I was Arnold Stinky-Faced! He even rubbed his cheeks along my glasses and my nose!
This morning we parked --- I held him and parked and rocked for the longest time. He purred, he drooled, he blobbed. Very sweet.
"Skritch Skritch"
Hmmmm... Audrey was just sitting outside my bedroom door. OH NO! Is Arnold trying to pull up the carpet? Is he succeeding?
Not exactly. He's still trying to pull up the carpet and he managed to disturb the area around the seam. But I can still open the door.
Whew!

Arnold and the Shower
Actually, he came hippity-skipping over then landed on the towel on the floor by the shower door then SKIDDED an inch or two before stopping.
SCARED him! Then he poked his nose into the shower and must have gotten sprinkled on. SCARED him! It scared him so much he jumped --- but that made him hit the bottom of the robe I have hanging by the shower. SCARED him!
So he wandered away.
Just for a minute, though.
He came hippity-skipping back, leaped onto the towel, skidded a bit then poked his nose into the shower. He still didn't like what he found there so he left and parked in the sink while I showered.
Arnold Entertains Himself in My Room
Is he trying to open the door?
I wouldn't be surprised.
I went back to drying my hair. FLASH of fur then ATTACK the string hanging off the laundry basket by the door. He catches me watching so he casually saunters back into the bathroom.
Tuesday, August 25, 2009
Something's Missing...
When I woke up and started to move around like I was going to get up, she leaped up onto me and began kneading my pook and settling down for a nice nap.
So I poohed her. Hmmm... something's not right... Hey! Where's your collar?
My collar?
Yes, where's your collar?
I don't know. Here, let me groom your fingers.
Oh, for Pete's sake. I still don't know where it is.

Arnold
I even got a little Arnold-stinky-face. So cute!
Thursday, July 30, 2009
AUDREY!
Guess where I found AUDREY????? IN ARNOLD'S SINK! PARKED ON ARNOLD'S TOWEL!
(she does look good on green, I have to admit)
And poor Arnold was under the bed!
Poor Striped Man.
Currently, Audrey is in the fliving room with me and Arnold is behind closed doors in the bathroom.
Whatever am I going to do with these kitties?
Arnold and the Sink
I turned on my sink today and let him play. He was very careful and discovered that if he put his head just right and airplane-eared his chopped ear he could drink without getting his head wet.
Then he forgot and started to push and turn his head more and more until the water ran completely down his "M" while he was drinking!
Yes, it was adorable.

Audrey
When we get there, of course, she completely ignores me. But if I leave whatever room I'm in... the poohlet-kitty-puppy is right behind.
Not Much to Report in Kitty-Land
This morning I put Audrey into the fliving room and shut my door so Arnold and I could have some quality time. I napped but Arnold was more interested in exploring things. I have no idea what he explored... just that it made rustling noises. And he wouldn't park with me.
Then I got up to dry my hair. Out of the corner of my eye I noticed a striped streak dashing from the bedroom into the bathroom. "Interesting", I thought. Then I noticed a striped streak dashing from the bathroom into the bedroom and straight through to the closet. "Very interesting", I thought. I continued to dry my hair while a striped streak went racing back and forth from the bathroom to the bedroom to the closet then back again.
I have no idea why.
Monday, July 27, 2009
Ooops!
Then I heard a scrabbling noise and a little "merp!" and I looked over and she had slipped and fallen into the tub! She was hanging onto the faucet with her little front paws... but it wasn't doing much good - it was too slippery.
She finally figured herself out.
Sunday, July 26, 2009
"Mmmmm, What a Nice Nap!"
Yep. What should I do now? Go to the pool? Make a little dinner?
Let me knead your pook while you think.
I have to get up.
Yes. Don't move. I'm getting comfortable here. Hey! What was that noise?
My tummy growled.
Don't do that again. It scared me.
I told you I was hungry.
It scared me. Stay still. I'm getting everything just right here.
Yes, dear.
Aaaaah. Purr purr purr. This is just right. Wait! What are you doing?
Well, if I can't get up then I get to watch tv.
Don't move so much. It's bothering me.
Sorry. Is that better?
Yes. Stay still. I think this will do.
So we parked together for two hours. What I do for these kitties...
Saturday, July 25, 2009
I Found a Striped Kitty...
I gave him his morning "Rescue Remedy" then I poohed him and he slowly relaxed in my arms until he was just a blob.
Then he realized what he was doing, shook his head and had to leap out of my arms and leap away.
Friday, July 24, 2009
I Found a Striped Kitty...
But still... fun to do.
He was parked in my sink. All groggy and cute. So I poohed him. And he purred. And he parked. And I think he even drooled a little. He let me pooh him a very long time.
It was very cute.
Thursday, July 23, 2009
Ooops!
While I was waiting for my water to heat up, Arnold was licking his chops. He stopped in mid-lick to yawn. So cute!
He spent a lot of time in my sink this morning. Drinking to his heart's content. He shoves his whole head under the water! His head is dripping wet when he's done!
Tuesday, July 21, 2009
I AM THE MOST PITIFUL KITTY ON THE PLANET!
Well I am.
Why don't you come over here and be with me?
Because I am just soooooooo sad and pitiful. I must stand outside your bedroom door and cry pitifully.
Suit yourself.
I AM THE MOST PITIFUL KITTY ON THE PLANET! HEAR MY WOE!
Sweetie Pie, the whole world hears your woe.
They do?
Yes.
Good.
Monday, July 20, 2009
I took a nap in my room. Even with the door closed Arnold was too nervous to park with me. He'd start out on my bed but then he'd leap off and dash into the carrier or under the bed.
I think it was because I was hungry and my tummy kept growling...
Monday, July 20, 2009
Ting-a-ling!
I thought he'd park with me on the couch, but he had other plans. Around 3am I heard a little "ting-a-ling" noise. Yep - Arnold's on the dining room table, fwapping at the ding-a-ling hanging from the chandelier. So cute!
Around 5:30am he sweetly mer-ed from my bedroom door so I fed everybody breakfast.
Friday, July 17, 2009
Eggnog!
I was out of the shower and drying myself off and I eggnogged. A rather large eggnog.
And it startled Arnold.
Poor thing!
Wednesday, July 15, 2009
Audrey Goes to Exile Island
Gosh that girl is driving me crazy!!! Mer mer mer! That's all she ever does!
1 am. 2 am. 3 am. 4 am. 5 am.
So I feed her. She eats two bites. I go feed Arnold.
Mer outside the bedroom door. Soooooo pitifully.
I go back into the fliving room. "Eat, Audrey, eat! I'll keep you company."
Mer mer mer. Mer mer mer.
Makes me crazy.
And did you see the picture I put on facebook when she was parked on my lap? Sooooo innocent.
Arnold and the Sink
He pushed his head under the faucet so he could drink around the drain and got his head soaking wet! It was so cute!
Crazy man.

Arnold Update
The kitties will go to the Kitty Hotel at Countryside Animal Clinic while I go on vacation in August. While they are there Arnold will be asked to provide a urine sample - something he will not be happy to do voluntarily. How could I possibly ask someone to come over and do the complicated feeding thing that I do???
- Give Audrey half a can and put the other half in the fridge. If giving from the fridge, microwave for 8 seconds.
- Give Audrey 1/4 cup (1 scoop) of food from container labeled "Arnold and Audrey Brochu"
- Put 1 scoop Benefiber in Arnold's bowl.
- Give Arnold 1/4 can of special food and put remainder in the fridge. If giving from fridge, microwave for 8 seconds.
- Give Arnold 1/4 cup (1 scoop) of food from the re-sealable container that is very difficult to re-seal. Check re-seal carefully.
- Feed Arnold in bathroom - carefully closing the door to both bedroom and bathroom so Audrey doesn't bother him.
- Check on Arnold in approx. 1 hour. Take away the bowl of mostly-eaten food and rinse it out. Can leave the doors open.
- Take away Audrey's bowl of who-knows-how-much-has-been-eaten-food and rinse it out and grind the rest away in the disposal. Don't feel guilty about wasting food or about starving kitties in Africa who would love to have this food.
See? How could I leave those kinds of instructions for anybody???
The Kitties and I miss the Poohlets
Poor Arn. He's all alone in the bedroom. I think he's under the bed. Audrey is nowhere to be found. Not even in her secret foof hiding place.
What to do... What to do???
Kitties
Hmmmm... got an idea from the adoption ladies at the PetSmart... somthing called "Rescue Remedy". It's full of wildflower extracts and is supposed to calm down agitated kitties.
http://www.preciouspets.org/newsletters/articles/bach.htm
Rock Rose: For terror and panic
Impatiens: for irritability, nervousness, and tension
Cherry Plum: For fear of losing control
Star of Bethlehem: For trauma, shock, and numbness
Clematis: For unconsciousness
So I got some from Whole Foods yesterday and tried it with Arnold. It made him groggy. He'd had some when he watched Audrey play with his Zoom catnip toy. I gave him some more after dinner. I also gave Audrey some around bedtime. It's 4 drops squirted into her mouth. She tried and tried not to swallow! It was pretty funny.
But it didn't seem to make a real difference. There was still growling through the night. She parked with me on my bed. I think he was under the bed.
It's just so sad!
Monday, July 13, 2009
Happy Arnold
He's so happy! He doesn't growl at it, but he does carry it around and play with it and toss it around.
I've also gone into my room and found it on my bed.
Saturday, July 11, 2009
Honestly, I must have the stupidest cats on the planet.
Arnold was on the bathtub so I took Audrey in my arms and brought her over, butt first, to Arnold. He sniffed her tail, then her butt, then groomed her tail.
Then he jumped down and walked over to the bathroom door to see if that awful kitty was looking at him from my bedroom door. She wasn't.
I put Audrey down on the bathroom floor. Arnold turned around, took one look at her... and growled.
What is UP with these kitties???
It's too early Merp!
Aaaack! Eeeeck!
Hey, you scared me!
Well, you were right in my face! You scared me first!
Don't scare me like that again.
What time is it anyway? Gaaak, Foof, it's only 4:00! It's way too early! Go find something else to do!
(pause)
Maowp!
Aaaaak!
You scared me again!
I told you not to do that right in my face! Foof! It's only 4:15! I AM NOT GETTING UP! LEAVE ME ALONE.
Humph.
He likes it!
Go Arnold!
Monday, June 15, 2009
OMG!
I'm on the phone with the doctor's office giving everyone an update and "mer?", up the stairs comes Arnold-kitty!
Audrey must be in her secret Audrey-napping-place so he must have felt it was safe to venture out. He's on the table now, sniffing the box.
It smells funny up here anyway because of the gunk the plumber guys had to use to repair the pvc pipes around the hot water heater.
During nap-time, I've been leaving my bedroom open so Arnold could nap on my bed while Audrey naps who-knows-where. They just can't be in the same room. Around dinner-time, when Audrey re-appears and comes to investigate, that's when Arnold sees her and starts to growl.
This is the first time he's been out of the bedroom since I put him in there last Tuesday!
Do you think this is maybe the end of the fighting?
Monday, May 4, 2009
Grrrrrrr.....
Nope!
He's scrambled under the closet door and pulled out about 3 feet of fuzzy pink rope and is happily growling at it.
Can I have that?
No.
Well, little poohlet kitty. That's not for you. I'm going to put it back into the closet.
Hey! Where did my fuzzy pink rope go?
Wednesday, March 18, 2009
"Mom?"
I'm down here all alone and I have my shoelace! Where are you?
Audrey and I are up here. Come join us!
OK! (sound of Arnold-merp-up-noise-with-shoelace-in-his-mouth) Here I am! Now what?
Well, I'm on the computer and Audrey was napping. What would you like to do?
How about I do "the Arn" here on the floor then we'll decide? Mmmmmm... this is nice.
Sounds good to me.
Maybe I'll just lay here and nap.
That sounds like a very good plan. Have a nice nap little poohlet kitty.
Monday, March 16, 2009
Arnold cutie-pie!
Silly man!
Wednesday, March 4, 2009
I get help making my bed
She was parked ever so sweetly on the unmade bed. Watching me curiously as I gathered the sheets together to make the bed.
I put on one corner then the bottom corner. She wandered over the investigate the first corner, then parked. I tugged the sheet to do the 3rd corner. FWAP! She chased after the corner and fwapped. I put on the 4th corner - FWAP! Chase-and-fwap.
Then I spread out the top sheet. With Foof underneath. A sweet little lump under the polka-spotted sheet. Until you try to pooh the lump. Then it fwaps at you and wiggles and tries to catch your fingers.
Then Arn jumped up onto the bed to see what was going on. He thought the lump was interesting. Then the lump began to move. It oozed over to the edge of the bed. POUNCE! The lump was pounced upon by Arnold-kitty. It continued to ooze until the entire Audrey-kitty had oozed out from under the sheet and oozed off the bed.
Now there is a striped kitty parking sweetly in the middle of the bed. On goes the blanket. Now there is a new lump under the covers. Tuck the blanket under the end of the bed. Check on the lump. Lift up the blanket a little bit to take a peek. See a very cute face.
Then Arn slithered out from under the blanket and I finished making the bed.
Monday, March 2, 2009
"What's this?"
It's cold.
It sure smells interesting...
Hmmmm... it smells just like your hands. And why are your hands purple?
This is just too odd. I'm going over here to groom my face.
Yeah, me too.
I brought in a bowl of snow for the kitties to investigate. I thought they might like to eat or something. Nope. Not interested.
Friday, February 27, 2009
"Mom?"
Oh nothing. I just wanted to see if you were still in the loft.
Mom?
Yes?
Oh nothing. I just wanted you to notice that I'm up here on the ledge.
Mom?
Yes?
Audrey's up on the ledge.
I see.
I want to be up on the ledge.
No, I'd really rather you didn't.
Maybe I'll come upstairs and be with you
[Arnold merp-up noise]
Hmmmmm... maybe I can figure out how she got up on that ledge.
Arnold, I'd really rather you didn't.
Hi Mom.
Hi Audrey-kitty. Are you finished being up on the ledge?
I wasn't on the ledge. I don't know what you're talking about.

Nothing really new in kitty-land
kb and Arnold had a very nice, long park together on the couch today. It was very sweet.
Wednesday, February 4, 2009
"Mom?"
I am feeling out of sorts but I don't know what I need.
Do you need to be held, Little Poohlet Kitty?
No.
Do you need to be poohed?
Hmmmm.... no. Try brushing me.
Sure. How's this?
{purr purr purr} this is nice. Mom! I TOLD you not to brush my crotch!
I know! Sorry! I didn't realize I was so close.
Well you were.
How can I make it up to you?
Brush my head... right here by my ears.... just a little lower... yes, that's it.
Mom?
Yes Arnold?
What about me?
Do you need to be held?
No.
Do you need to be poohed? Hmmm... no.
Do you need to be brushed? Hmmmm... guess not.
Guess you just want to be recognized.
You got that right.
Love you little kitties.
Tuesday, February 3, 2009
There's a fly...
The kitties are perturbed. Audrey wants to get it.
Now they are both napping on the floor beneath the skylight with the fly.
Thursday, January 29, 2009
What is that SMELL?!?!?
I even flipped her upside down and tried to check her butt... nothing.
FINALLY, she went to park in her box while I was on the computer and I was able to hold her down and check more thoroughly. Yep. There it was. Fossilized poop firmly entangled in her posterior hair. Tried to pull it out with just kleenex. No can do.
So, holding poor Audrey-kitty upside down, we went downstairs to the kitchen and got some scissors and cut out the offending mess. She was quite angry with me for about 5 minutes, but now she's parked on my lap again while I'm on the computer.
And she definitely smells better.

Making My Bed
First I covered him with the fitted sheet. He had fun trying to fwap the sheet as it moved (as I tightened the corners). I could hear him PURRING through the sheet! Then I peeked under the sheet and he peeked back. He slithered out so I could do the last corner.
Then I covered him with the flat sheet. He PURRRRRRED and purred. He also fwapped.
Then he slithered out.
I covered him with the blanket, but he had had enough so he left.
Snuggle Arn
It was very sweet.

Inauguration Day
I parked on the couch and the kitties took turns parking with me. I had to go wee once and Arnold got so annoyed he wouldn't come back but Foof took his place and just made herself completely comfortable!
On my thigh, behind my knees, on my chest... you name it, she parked on it.
Where's Arnold?
Where could he be?
Search the house all over. Here he is!
Curled up in a little ball on kb's fish comforter.
So cute!
Covered in dust
I think she was up on that ledge again...

Mom!
What are you doing now? Can I help?
I'm typing into the kitty blog. Smooshing your butt into my face isn't actually helping.
Well, then, let's go downstairs and watch tv together!
Let me just finish this blog entry.
Hmmmmph. Then I'll go sit over here on the table and maybe stand on the railing and make you nervous.
Foof!
Yes?
Don't do that please.
No?
No.
Oh all right. But are you ready to go downstairs yet and be with me and pooh me sweetly?
Ok, let's go! (but I have to go wee first.)
"Mer!"
Mer mer mer! Merp Merp mer merp
I know, I miss them too.
I don't know what to do with myself. Maybe I should jump up on the kitchen chair? Nope. What are you doing?
I'm making some dinner for myself.
Not for me?
No.
Can I join you while you eat?
Sure.
{purr purr purr}
I'm going upstairs now. Want to come with?
Maybe. Why don't you carry me upstairs then I'll decide.
Don't forget about me!
We won't forget about you, Arnold! Come upstairs with us!
Ah! purr purr purr.
[telephone rings]
Gaaaack!
Oh Foof, it's just the telephone.
But, when I got back upstairs, no one was interested in parking with me anymore.

That Foof!
Mom? I need to park on you!
Sheesh Foof! I was just getting up to go into the kitchen!
This will only take a minute.
No it won't, and you know it.
Let me just wiggle wiggle wiggle here, get situated just right... there. Now I am parked on your thigh.
Foof, I need to go into the kitchen and get my coffee.
No you don't.
Ok ok. I'll sit here for a minute.
(big kitty sigh)
But eventually the timer bell rang and I had to go rescue the brownies.
Foof was NOT pleased.

"MOM!"
Mom! Where have you been? You left me all alone here and I was so lonely and you were gone and I was lonely and you weren't here and
Well, if you slow down a minute and let me talk I can expl...
And you weren't here and you were gone! Where did you go? I was so lonely! Don't do that again!
I had to take cb to ballet, just like I always do, then we went out for Chinese food, just like we always do. And now I'm back.
Well, I didn't like it. Don't do that again. Is it time to eat?
No, foof, it's only 8:00. I'm going to go upstairs and watch this Nutcracker dvd. Wanna come up, too?
Maybe. (merp-up-noise)
Let me get settled. Hmmmmm... shall I be on your lap? or here on the table? or, maybe... here in my box. Yes, that's just right. Hey! What's all that noise coming from the computer? It's not supposed to make that noise!
It's just the Nutcracker ballet. See, cb's in it. Isn't she beautiful?
I don't like the noise. I'm going to try to take a nap.
(sounds of nutcracker stuff... then the Arabian dancers come out and the music makes tinging noises, like the sound of finger cymbals or something)
Hey! What's that noise?!?! That sounds like the doorbell!
No, foof, it's just the dvd.
Hmmmph. Well, I don't like it. Aren't you done yet?
Yes, I'm done.
Good. Now is it time to eat?
Almost.

All is Well
I sneezed once and woke Foof up and she fussed at me quite severely.
Kitties and Water
I turned on the bathtub faucet last night while I brushed my teeth. They were so fascinated! Arnold keep fwapping the running water and making that cute little Arnold noise. Foof just watched.
Then I collected some water in my hand and let it dribble out over the drain. Fascinating! They thought it was so interesting to see the water come from somewhere else.
Then I used the water in my hand to wash down some of the hairs on the sides of the tub. Great fun watching that go down the drain and trying to fwap it!
The Tiger
Just like a poohlet kitty: he stepped into the creek and pulled out his paw and shook it vigorously before stepping in again.
He did seem to enjoy it eventually, though. He even sat down and sphinxed in the creek.
