That Pudding!

Do you remember when I said that I felt something on Arnold's pook and I was concerned about it? Well, cb and I took him to the vet yesterday and it turns out that it's just two little "fat pads" !

Arnold weighs just over 10 pounds which is a little more than a 9-month old kitty should weigh. Audrey weighs 8.75 pounds which is a little high, but still ok.

So the vet wants the kitties to start eating grownup food. Apparently kitty food has more calories and fat.

We should probably play with them more, too!

We were reading in cb's room last night and Arnold came in with his sock and delivered it to cb. So cute!

We fell asleep and left the door open and, sure enough, two kitties came to join us in the night! I knew because cb went to roll over and I heard a little, annoyed mer then I noticed that Arnold was near me.

Needy Kitties

The kitties were alternately needy and psycho almost all of Thursday. They were worn out by the end of the day so they parked with me and cb from about 9pm until morning.

This morning they won't let me out of their sight! If I'm on the computer then somekitty is on my lap. If I'm downstairs then they both come downstairs - Arnold parks on the box and Audrey parks wherever I am. They were both FAST ASLEEP and I left the fliving room and went into the kitchen. Two seconds later there were two sleepy kitties in the kitchen with me, looking all hoozy-froozled and sleepy.

They keep mer-ing at me, too.

I came upstairs again to take my shower but I checked email first. I wasn't here 5 minutes before Audrey-kitty came to look for me - mer-ing and purring. Now she's all snuggled up on my lap again, asleep.

How am I going to get anything done today?!?

The Kitties are home!

I was so excited today to go get the kitties from the kitty hotel!

They brought me the carrier and the kitties were inside talking up a storm! I don't know what they were saying but it could have been one of the following:
1. "I don't want to leave here! You are such a mean mom making us leave when we were having so much fun!"
OR
2. "You're finally back! Where have you been?!?!? Take us home!"

So, whichever it was, they continued like that almost all the way home.

When we got home they went absolutely PSYCHO! Dashing around the house, things crashing left and right. It was nuts! They'd also call out to me and I'd answer then they'd go dash somewhere else.

Now, FINALLY, after two hours of being home, Audrey-kitty came and parked on the blanket on me while I'm on the computer and let me scritch her scruff. She purred and purred then fell asleep and snored a little.

Arnold, however, is still quite unsettled and is wandering around the bedroom, jumping on things. He gives a little mer every once in a while - much calmer mer than before; more questioning than annoyed. But he just can't stay in one place and he still won't let me pet him.

Oh well.

I'M happy they're home. Now all I need is poohlets and my life is complete.

The Wrinkly-Crinkly Noise

Here's a cute story from Friday:

I was in my room on the computer and I heard a crinkly kind of noise. It sounded like maybe somekitty was in a box. Audrey was on the bed... so it must be Arnold.

I looked over by the closet and still didn't see anything. There was the box with the towel on it and the towel was all saggy in the middle, but no kitty.

"Arnold! Is that you?" and, sure enough, a little Arnold-kitty head popped up out of the box. So cute! He looked at me like, "Yes? What do you want?" We chatted a bit then he jumped out of the box.
