There isn't any.
No, really, the kitties aren't really doing any spectacularly cute.
Just the same old poohlet-kitty stuff.
Arnold likes to park on the sink while I brush my teeth and he lets me pooh his scruff.
Audrey flips on her back outside my door when I get out of the shower to be brushed.
Arnold found his straw under the two-people couch and he enjoyed playing with it last night while I watched tv.
They sniffed each others' butt and didn't hiss.
Audrey weighs more than Arnold so I cut her happy-merp-food down to half a scoop. She appears to doing okay.
And, Arnold, who has been losing weight, gets dry food with his dinner every night. He's such a good kitty.
Really, life as usual.

Foof
I let Foof in at 3:30 this morning.
I went back to sleep.
I woke up at some point and guess what?!?! --- Arnold was snuggled up against me and Audrey was parked at the end of the bed!
Then they both realized that the other one was there so they both jumped off.
And I got up.

I Worked From Home Yesterday
Audrey-kitty slept on my lap or on the chair next to me the whole time I was upstairs.
Arnold snuggled into a teeny-tiny ball on the two-people couch and slept there all day.

No More Surprises
You know how I came home the other night to find some kitty poop on my floor in my bedroom? Well, I gave Arnold a complete set of new litter.
And I scooped out Audrey's box.
So far, so good.

... drinks from Arnold's water bowl.
And I DID wash out and refill her own water dish last night!
Maybe she only likes the taste of water from a ceramic bowl?

I drove past the Hamster House
... and the curtains were open to the front room. It is completely empty... except for... a GIANT KITTY TOWER. It's like ours but with at least one more extra level.
Those are lucky kitties!

What does Arnold have?
hint: it's cb's skirt
(too funny! I posted this then went to the blog and played it and Arnold heard himself mer-ring and ran over to see what was going on! Then he walked away, but... in the video I call out his name, so in real life he dashed over to me again!)

We Co-Existed!
Oh they were so cute last night!
I was parked on the couch and Audrey jumped up and snuggled down behind my knees. Then, about 30 minutes later, Arnold jumped up and snuggled up against my pook. Yippee! We were all parked together!
We parked for, oh, idk, over an hour. Then I got a cramp so I adjusted my leg just a little bit.
"Mer!" and Foof jumped down.
Then Arn jumped down.
They were parked on the floor, with their heads about 6 inches apart! Then they started grooming their own selves. But they were mirror images of each other. Foof collapsed on her left side, grooming her left front paw and the left side of her face. And Arn collapsed on his right side, grooming his right front paw and the right side of his face.
They were simply adorable.

It was given to Eileen for her birthday celebration but she didn't want to keep it.
I haven't shown it to Arnold.

Bad Dreams
Someone is, apparently, having a bad dream. Audrey-kitty is parked in her box while I'm on facebook and she keeps making these very sad mer-noises. But her eyes are closed.
What kind of dreams do kitties have, I wonder?

Co-existing
We seem to be able to co-exist to some extent. Last night they were both stretched out on the floor, within about 6 inches of each other. Nothing bad happened.
Then, about an hour later, I hear hissing and growling. What?!?
So, I guess they stand each other for as long as they can then someone just cracks.
Right now Foof is asleep on her box on the table and Arnold-kitty is parked below her, stretched out in the sunshine.

Oh Merp.
That girl can be sooooo annoying! This morning she mer-red and mer-red outside my door at 4am. I groggily let her in then she wandered around and caused trouble! I must have gotten up three or four more times to shush her and get away from Arnold and his unhappy Arnold Noises.
I watched tv while I ate breakfast and she was a dust buster on top of the couch by my ear.
The red sock is on the towel by my shower. So cute!
I went into the kitchen and surprised a Striped Man investigating Audrey's food container. Whoosh! A quick leap off the counter and dash into the bedroom.

Sweet Arnold
He was so happy when I went to bed last night!
He purred and purred and kneaded my pook and parked with his head and face pointing towards me.
He purred so loudly... I couldn't hear the tv!

Where Are My Keys?
On Sunday I went to get my keys so I could go to church. Foof was sitting very sweetly on the dining room table.
I couldn't see my keys anywhere - not on the table, not in the fliving room, not in my purse.
Where could they be?
Foof?
Yes?
Have you seen my keys?
No.
Are you perhaps sitting on them?
Pooh me.
So I poohed the kitty and she moved and Yes! She'd been sitting on my keys the whole time.

All Cats Are, Apparently, the Same
I was listening to the radio and they were talking to some zookeepers about how the animals stay cool.
Elephants go swimming while the lions nap under shady trees until it cools off.
Apparently, the zookeepers also give the lions ice blocks to play with.
Aaaaawwwwwww!

Arnold Keeps Me Company
So Arnold's latest cute thing is that, when I'm on the potty, he comes dashing into the bathroom and LEAPS up to rub his cheek against my hand.
Then he usually jumps into the bathtub.
This morning he jumped into the tub and kept looking at me sweetly when he reminded him that I was going to take a shower.
I turned the water very low. He thought that was interesting - he came closer to the faucet and investigated the water that was pooling in the tub.
Then I turned the water on a little stronger. The water began to make a bigger pool and Arnold kept backing up so his feet wouldn't get wet.
Then he leaped up onto the edge of the tub, wound his way between the shower curtains, then jumped off and went over to the door to chase his tail.

Audrey Poohlet-Kitty
She's so cute!
She came hippity-skipping through the fliving room and leaped gracefully onto the kitchen table then hopped gracefully into the box.
Whoops! The box skidded and she nearly skidded right off the table!
She was Not At All Pleased.
But she got over it.

Busy Arn
Now he's in my bedroom, saving us all from the evil sock.
He dragged it (quietly!) back into my bedroom and placed it carefully under his placemat under the chair.
Then he backed up, did a little butt wiggle then POUNCED onto the placemat and grabbed the sock and shook it vigorously. He and the sock wrestled for a bit then he let it rest.
Then... POUNCE! The sock goes flying into the air! Poohlet-kitty to the rescue! Wrestling and rolling and tossing! All around the bedroom!
Whew! Success! Now that the sock has been tamed he must tame the placemat. POUNCE!
I'm glad that's taken care of.

Audrey's Litter Box
I was cleaning out Audrey's litter box this morning. Just scooping out the stuff that didn't need to be there.
She came merp-ing into the bathroom and jumped up on the sink to see what I was doing.
I was all bent over at the waist, just scooping litter and she noodged my butt with her cheek!
Too funny.
She did it three or four times. And mer-red in between noodges.
She's in there now arranging the litter Just So.

"Mom?"
Yes?
I have my sock!
Great! Would you like to bring it out here into the fliving room?
Yes! I have my sock! Here I come! Are you still there? Mom? I'm coming with my sock! Wait... what's Audrey doing on the back of the couch? Maybe I don't want to bring my sock into the fliving room after all. I'll just drop it right here and come into the fliving room by myself. And I'll Arn here, right by the tv.
You do that, little snickle-fritz-kitty.

Arnold Visits the Dentist
He did great!
He was Not At All Happy to go back into the crate to be transported to the dentist. But he settled down while we were driving and even dozed off while we were waiting for the dentist in the exam room!
We took the lid off the crate and Dr. C. examined Arnold's mouth. There are still some stitches that will be dissolved but other than that everything looks great. His teeth are so cute! Almost as cute as yours.
Dr. C. showed me the x-rays again. Poor Arn! His canines looked just like the canines on the example x-rays.
But the doctor is encouraged that Arn still carries his sock around. If he had to hunt for his dinner then the missing canines might be an impediment. But since his food is delivered to him fully mushed, he'll be fine.

Egg-nog
Oh dear!
Audrey-kitty was settled in the kitchen, keeping me company while I did the dishes. She got all comfortable and started to groom her crotch.
Then I egg-nogged.
Oh my! She literally stayed in the crotch-grooming position but levitated about an inch off the floor! I felt so bad but I laughed so hard.

Arnold, You Crack Me Up!
He's such a busy man at night! And, apparently, I sleep so deep that I don't hear what's going on in the middle of the night.
This morning I found my camera on the floor in the dining room. It had been on the table. He likes to play with the wrist-cord.
I also watched him last night with his sock. So cute! I like how he has to walk really wide when he's dragging his sock in his mouth so that he doesn't step on it. Last night it was in the fliving room then he dragged it into the kitchen. Then, when I first went to bed he called out to me and came running into my bedroom and hopped up onto the bed with it in his mouth. This morning it was on the purple bathmat in my bathroom.
And I parked with a needy Foof last night. She was very sweet.

Arnold-Busy-Man
So last night I used the last of the Happy Merp Food so I re-filled her container with the new stuff cb and I had bought.
I put the bag in the trash can and smooshed it down. (I'll bet you know where I'm going with this...)
This morning I found the empty bag in the fliving room, filled with cute little teeth marks.
And the trash can in the kitchen? On its side, the contents strewn around. Coffee grounds all on the kitchen floor, wet paper towels from the trash.
sigh.
Good thing he's so cute.

Who's On Bug Patrol?
There's been a very pesky mosquito buzzing around the house lately. (and why isn't that pronounced "moss-kwit-oh"?)
Arnold's been watching that pesky bug for days now.
And yesterday he caught it!
Leaped up off the window sill and grabbed it between his two paws!
Go Arnold!
Wait! Let me get a kleenex to get that dead bug!
Ooops, too late. When I returned he was licking his chops.

PSYCHO MAN
Whew! What a blur!
First I saw a striped streak ZOOM from the bedroom into the kitchen. Silence. Then a clatter of plastic. I think he jumped onto the top rack of the dishwasher and disturbed the plastics lids I had there. Of course, when I went into the kitchen, he was calmly grooming his face.
What? What did you *think* I was doing in here?
I went back and sat on the couch to watch So You Think You Can Dance.
ZOOM! A striped streak went from the kitchen to my bedroom. I heard some rustling noises. Then I caught a glimpse of him wrestling mightily with his red sock. Success! He pounced on it then sphinxed on it in triumph.
Then, ZOOM! Back into the kitchen.
Then,
mer? would you like to pooh me? And he Arn'ed right by my feet.
How can I resist?

Audrey Poohlet-Kitty
I went into Audrey's bathroom this morning and picked up her dish to take it into the kitchen.
Hey! Where are you going with that?
I'm taking it into the kitchen.
Well, I wasn't finished with it.
Ok, here, have some more.
I didn't mean I wanted to finish it *now*
Well then, I'm taking it and you can wait until dinner time.
Mer.

"Pooh Me, Please!"
I am upstairs, on the computer (obviously) and doing some laundry. Audrey-kitty came up to join me.
She is in her "pooh me!" pose. Then she fell asleep!
I love when she does that!
ps - If I go to pooh her she wakes up and mers. Can't tell if it's a happy mer or a beasty mer.

The Curious Box
I unpacked another box in the fliving room.
It was a very tall box.
It had just a few things in the very bottom.
Arn jumped up and carefully sauntered all around the edge of the box. He thought about going in but decided against it.
Audrey thought she'd investigate, too. She jumped up along the edge but was not, apparently, as careful as Arn. Scrabble, scrabble, oops! All I see is a little paw hanging on the edge of the box.
Scrabble-ty scrabble. And these she is! LEAPING out of the box and dashing into the dining room.

Psycho Merp
That Foof is PSYCHO this morning!
RUNNING up and down the loft stairs. Mer-ing and making other cute little noises.
Of course, now that I'm writing about she's all cutely collapsed on her right side, giving me her "Pooh me!" face! With one paw curled.
Arn has been carrying his sock around all morning from room to room, calling out to me.
Gosh those kitties are so cute!

Arnold and The Vet
So Arnold went to the vet yesterday for his annual checkup. He's a very healthy striped-man, weighing 12 pounds and looking very healthy and handsome.
However, he has an infected tooth! I have to take him next week to the Kitty Dentist so he can have x-rays and a cleaning and perhaps have the bad tooth removed.
Poor Arn!
Guess that's what I get for not flossing my kitty?

Kitty Treats
Everybody was in the kitchen... being have... and I thought I'd reward them with some kitty treats.
Arnold, of course, gobbled his up before Audrey even finished sniffing at hers so he pounced on over to her treats and scared her away.
So, I tossed a treat to her in the dining room and she almost caught it! She was so cute! Just raised a paw and batted it down right in front of herself.
Then I tossed one off to the side a little and she leaped and batted it down then fwapped it around a little bit before she ate it. Such good eye-paw coordination!
Arnold just scarfed his. I tossed it a little bit into the kitchen so he wouldn't be watching Audrey-kitty but, really, he ate it so fast --- before I could even toss another one to Foof he'd be finished!
I left them licking their paws and took a shower.

The Angry Box
In the fliving room was a box that turned out to be a box full of kitchen stuff. I've been slowly unpacking it over the last week or so.
I got everything completely out and Arnold thought that would be a good time to investigate the box. So, in he jumped.
He was scrabbling around, quite content when Audrey-kitty got curious.
What on earth is in that box?
So she peeked her little poohlet-kitty head over the edge. Which startled Arnold. Which made him growl.
She jumped away and ran into the dining room while the box continued to growl. And growl.
I had to go over there and assure him that all was well. He leaped out and sauntered into my room.

Foof's in exile for the night and I'm upstairs on the computer.

EVERYBODY BEHAVE!
I will feed everyone! I promise! Have I ever not fed you when it was dinnertime??? Of course not!
Now, behave!
Everybody behave or I'll have to kick someone's butt right out of the kitchen.
Do you want it to be your butt that's kicked out of the kitchen? No? I didn't think so. Then behave!

Hmmmm
There is actually nothing interesting to report. The kitties are very boring. All they do is mer and brawl.
I forgot to put Audrey's bowl into the sink last night after she went into exile so, of course, it was licked clean this morning. Maybe that's why he didn't finish all of his breakfast?
Merp got brushed this morning. She very obligingly rolled from side to side so that I could brush every inch. Except, of course, her crotch.

So
When I went to bed last night I heard Arnold making his rounds of the house:
* He opened the coat closet door
* He tried to open the pantry door a few times, but I have it blocked
* He carried his sock from one room to another
And when I woke up this morning I found him in the bathtub watching a bug crawl up the side of the tub.
Oh, and btw, he weights 11.4 pounds. He very kindly weighed himself for me last night.

Sir Arnold-The-Busy
Woke up this morning to find, upon my bed:
* a hair dealy
* a sock
* a little blue mesh bag
And the coat closet door was open.
Apparently he was a VERY busy man last night.
And he let me brush him last night. As long as I followed him around the fliving room.

The Busy Man
Oh my, what a busy striped man last night...
Part I
In the middle of the night I heard a door open. "That's strange, what door could he have opened?" So I rolled over and tried to go back to sleep. Then I heard the Arnold Growl.
"Oh no! He opened the laundry door and now he's growling at Audrey!"
I get up speedy-quick and hear Arnold in the bathroom. I also see some suspiciously pink feathers. Arnold grabbed the pink feather boa and dashed into the shower stall. Cornered!
I took it from him and went to put it back into the closet. Hmmm.... the closet door is open. What a clever boy!
So I hid it on the top shelf and went back to bed. I heard him mer and peeked my eyes open and watched him open the closet again. He poked around, apparently looking for the pink feather boa... but no luck.
Part II
So I doze a little bit and the alarm goes off. Time to get up and feed the poohlet kitties.
Into the kitchen I go. Hmmm.... the pantry door is open. Did I leave it open? No, I'm quite certain I didn't. Oh dear, Arnold The Door-Opening Kitty strikes again! There's a BIG hole, made with millions of tiny teeth marks, in his bag of food.
Now the pantry is closed and his bag of canned food is in front of it. Will that keep him out?

Wait?... What?!?
I fed the poohlet kitties then went to the front door to check to see if kb's coat had arrived.
Looked out the door --- nope. Hey, is it still snowing? It doesn't look like it. Let me open the door and see if I can see any snow in the light.
Merrrr ---- owr???
What?!? Arnold! GET back in here!!!
But it's really interesting out here! Oh... ok...
Now go finish your dinner.

Arnold and The Fireplace
The power went out and I only two candles and it was dark and scary and I couldn't reach anyone by telephone...
So I built a fire in the fireplace. I took one of those fake logs - the kind where all you have to do is light the paper around them and they burn.
It made a nice light and made the scary fliving room much more cozy. I parked by the fire and read my book. Then Arn parked in front of the fireplace. He just watched and watched the fire.
Eventually he got a little bored (I guess) and decided to park on my book. He had one paw parked on the page. With a little finessing of the situation, I was able to actually turn pages and keep reading. But he never moved his paw. Not until I had about 10 pages on it.

Arnold Parks
Arnold parked with me for a long time on the three-people couch.
At one point I sort of scritched his ears and he purred and purred with his eyes closed. Then I poohed his pook and he sort of caught my hand and parked it on his pook and wrapped his paws around it.
We stayed that way for about 15 minutes. Then he woke up with a start, shook his head, unparked my hand and began vigorously grooming every bit of himself that smelled like me.

Where's Arnold?
It's Saturday morning... Audrey is somewhere. Under the couch upstairs maybe?
Arnold ventured out from the bedroom. Quietly, stealthily... One teeny-tiny up-mer when he jumped up to join me on the couch.
I was busy with Farmville and lost track of him.
Arnold? Where could he be??? I took the camera around the house --- into the front room... no Arn. Into the poohlet room --- "Arnold?" --- no answer. Back into my bedroom --- not looking out the window, not on the lemon. Where can he be?
Back into the fliving room. "Mer?" --- as he slithered out from under the blankets on the three-people couch! He was right beside me all along and I had no idea!
Now he's on the kitchen sink, looking outside the window.

Stinky-face
Guess who made the stinky-face last night? --- that would be ME.
Audrey came to park with me and, for some reason, she STANK! Malodorous kitty fart, I think. I flipped her upside down to see if there was any visible reason for the smell - no luck.
It took about 15 minutes before she smelled good enough to park with.

These People Are Going to Drive Me Crazy
First, Arnold lets out an odiferous, malodorous, heinous, stinky poop --- not all of which makes it into the litter box. Including the bit stuck to his butt.
Did I mention that this was at 2am?
Now it's 6am. I have fed the kitties. Silly me --- I bought some different food for Audrey, thinking she might like it. The package makes it look delicious. No thank you, says she. (at least she's polite about it)
So she's here in the fliving room.
Arnold, meanwhile HAS FIGURED OUT HOW TO OPEN MY BEDROOM DOOR and is currently standing in the doorway, acting slightly confused as to how he accomplished this feat --- merring pitiously at the doorway.
I must go take my shower and hope everyone doesn't starve.

I was dreaming
And it was about being at the opera. The opera went on and on and I couldn't understand any of it but this Italian woman sitting next to me was trying to translate.
I woke up and discovered that the "opera singer" was Audrey.
Oh dear.

Foof
Hi mom.
Hi Foof! I'm going to park here and read my book and watch football.
Ok. Your book is in my way. And so is the remote. Ahhhh, let me knead your chest. And now I must knead your right shoulder. Hey, if I turn around and scootch just a little bit... yes, I can curl up right here. But I need your right hand to support my butt. There. Now I can nap. {big kitty sigh} You might need your left hand to support your right hand that's supporting my butt. Yes, that's good. But don't breathe on me. There, that's better.

More Arnold
So Arn and I were watching tv. Well, I was sort of napping and Arn was truly napping.
Unfortunately for both of us, I was watching "Dogs 101" and there were lots of barking dogs.
Every time a dog barked it kind of surprised and scared him. Tough to nap.
So I changed channels. We were both able to nap during "Trauma".
Until Foof came out from under the loft couch.
Hissing ensued.
Arn escaped to the bedroom and Foof parked with me.
Except that Arnold kept poking his head out of the door.
So I fed everybody.
Then Audrey went into the laundry room around 9pm.
Now it's 10 and Arnold has decided to join me on the couch and watch skating.

Arnold
... stepped on the keyboard while I was in Farmville and stepped on the key to un-mute the sound and scared himself half to death!
Foof, is, of course, hidden under the couch in the loft so Arnold has been happily wandering around the house all day.

Llama?
I woke up in the middle of the night to find a striped kitty kneading my head and PURRING. I thought for sure I was going to get my llama back!
He kneaded and kneaded and purred and purred.
Then he finished, left my head, and settled back down behind my knees.
Oh well.
He's still adorable.

An Audrey Story
This morning I was in the cabinet where I store the tea and the cocoa. There's that blue bin, with the tea and cocoa stuff. Then there are two boxes of Swiss Miss alongside the bin.
I took out one box of Swiss Miss so I could get one envelope.
What are you doing?
Getting some cocoa.
What's in here? Do I fit? Hmmm... yes, I just fit. How deep is this? Wow - I can go back pretty far.
But you can't turn around.
Yes I can, just watch me.
Can you get out again?
Pish posh.
And out she came.

I don't have a Llama anymore
He is soooo not interested in being my llama anymore. He hasn't parked on my head since I took his cone off for good.
Now he cavorts around the house then snuggles up by my legs.
This morning I found BOTH of his socks on my bed.

Someone...
... is enjoying the plastic knife she found on the floor in the fliving room.
She's rolling around, playing with it with all four paws.
It's adorable.
Now she's parked above my head on the three-people couch.

Arnold Enjoys the Lemon
cb found the lemon in a box in the front room and brought it into my room and put it on the bed.
My lemon! You found it! Thank you! purr purr purr knead knead knead.
Think I'll take a nap now.
And he stayed there ALL DAY.

Pat Pat Pat
I was emptying Arn's litter box when I felt a little "pat pat pat" on my head.
He was lounging on the counter, by my sink, with one arm dangling down and using that to lightly fwap me on the head.
Too cute!

Audrey...
... after going psycho for about 20 minutes - running up and down the stairs, dashing through the kitchen - is now a dust-buster on the fliving room floor.
(wouldn't you think it's cold down there?)

There's a Floof...
... in the tunnel yet again.
Now her tail is dangling out the other end of the tunnel, slightly curled, like an apostrophe.

She has one hind leg dangling out the back and one paw over the edge of the cut-out window with her head resting on it.
I just peeked at her and she gave me a killer look.
Arn is curled up on my bed, resting his head on a lump of covers.
All togther now: Aawwwwwww!

Oh Audrey-kitty!
She is sitting on my right hand so, every time I use the touch pad to move the mouse it pesters her butt and she mers at me.
OK, now she's shifted to laying on my left arm so when I type it pesters her pook.
Mer and switch positions.
NOW she's all snuggled up on the tiny space on the couch between me and computer and my typing only disturbs her a little bit.
But now I must go get my coffee...
