"Mom?!"

"Yes!"
"Where are you?"
"I'm upstairs by my sink!"
"OK! Here I come! Please pay attention to me! Pick me up! Park me! Let me purr in your ear!"

So I picked Arnold up and he was happy.

Balance-Impaired

Audrey-kitty was parked on my lap while I ate my lunch. That's her new thing, btw... to mer and mer when I'm sitting at the dining room table until I pick her up and park her on my lap.

She got all settled down and gave her big, happy-kitty sigh and seemed to fall asleep.

Then she stretched! --- and started to slip off my lap! She was quite surprised. I was able to catch her but she decided that I was too dangerous to park on so she moved to a dining room chair.

Arnold very happily took her place for a bit.

The Mysterious Black Paw

I was sitting on my bed and Arnold was parking on the lemon --- so cute! I couldn't resist petting him so I leaned over and scritched his scruff a little bit.

I paused for a moment and let my hand just droop over the edge of the bed when a Mysterious Black Paw darted out from under the bed and tapped my fingers! I was so surprised!

But then I was able to tempt it out again and again. It was fun.

Kitties don't like thunder

We had that thunder storm early this morning and the kitties were quite perturbed.

They wanted to be near me but didn't want me to touch them or acknowledge them.

They were very scared but we all recovered and are now lounging around.

The Laundry Basket

The kitties like playing with the laundry basket. We played a variation of The Door Game, where I poke my fingers through the big holes in the basket and Audrey tries to catch me.

I also put the cat dancer half in and half out of the basket. Audrey was on the chair and she'd LEAP into the basket to pounce on the cat dancer. Then she'd skid a little bit and run into the side of the basket which would make it tip over on its side and scare her half to death!

She did that about three times.

Arnold just circles the basket watching the part of the cat dancer hanging outside until he decides it's time to pounce.

He pounced into the basket once, too, and it started to fall over on its side but then he was able to right it.

He parked on me today and put his paw on my arm for leverage while he groomed himself.

Audrey-kitty blobbed in my arms today while we watched it rain outside. She got really heavy so I had to put her down. She was not pleased.
