The Wrinkly-Crinkly Noise

Here's a cute story from Friday:

I was in my room on the computer and I heard a crinkly kind of noise. It sounded like maybe somekitty was in a box. Audrey was on the bed... so it must be Arnold.

I looked over by the closet and still didn't see anything. There was the box with the towel on it and the towel was all saggy in the middle, but no kitty.

"Arnold! Is that you?" and, sure enough, a little Arnold-kitty head popped up out of the box. So cute! He looked at me like, "Yes? What do you want?" We chatted a bit then he jumped out of the box.

"Kitties! I'm home!"

Oh! But they're not! :(

The Gribbles came by today with AP and then AK came by and they made me clean. The kitties hid upstairs most of the time. Arnold got very brave and came downstairs to investigate but he'd run back upstairs if anyone got too close. He did enjoy parking at the top of the tower.

Audrey-kitty stayed under the flowery chair the whole time.

BUT, when everyone had left... I got an EARFUL from Audrey-kitty! Whew! That girl would not stop talking! I sat and patiently and respectfully listened.

Then I put them in the kitty crate with two blocks. The website says they can have toys but I was afraid to put in Arnold's sock in case it got lost there. They didn't care much for the ride --- they let me know quite vociferously. But, when we got there they seemed to be ok and they were taken off to their room with a view.

I took myself out to dinner and, when I came home, I almost called out to the kitties but then I remembered that they're not here.

Oh I miss those kitties!!!!!

Arnold's sock is under my sink and I almost cried when I saw it.

Needy Kitties

As always, when the poohlets leave the kitties notice and get blue and needy.

They both parked with me all night long and even slept in until 6am. Then, after they'd eaten breakfast they both snuggled with me while we all took a nap.

Right now I'm on the computer and Audrey-kitty is snuggled on my lap, finally sleeping after mer-ing at me for forever (well, maybe five minutes)

Who moved the crinkly bag?

When I came home from dinner at the Gribbles' I found the crinkly bag on top of my bed --- on top of their favorite pillow.

Did you guys move it? Or did the kitties???

Mer-y Kitties

These kitties are so mer-y and needy! They are cracking me up.

Last night I had to park with Audrey-kitty in my arms while she slept for an hour and Arnold-kitty slept on the couch behind me with his paw touching my head.

I was eating dinner at the dining room table and Audrey just mer-ed and mer-ed and just didn't know what she wanted. I picked her and parked her and she fell right to sleep! With her back paws rabbit paws and her front paws crossed. She let me finish my dinner but was annoyed if I moved my right hand off her butt.

Today I was eating lunch at the dining room table and Arnold mer-ed and mer-ed. He was so pitiful! He was in the fliving room. I called him over and he came dashing over, mer-ing with his sock in his mouth! It was so cute!

He didn't want to play with his sock. He just wanted me to park with him. I'm not allowed to touch him, but he puts a paw on me just right.

Right now I'm at the computer in my room and Arnold is playing with his sock on my bed. He carries it around, then drops it then shakes it around, then picks it up in his mouth again and carries to another part of the bed.

Audrey is under the bed making some noise so Arnold is very curious. He just came over to the side of the bed to investigate. Nope, nothing interesting. He just went back to tossing his sock around. Nope! Another noise! Over to the edge of the bed and investigate. Boring, go back to the sock.

Needy Kitties

I don't know what's up with these kitties!

Yesterday they were SOOOOOOO needy!

I was eating dinner and reading and Arnold just mer-ed and med-ed and wandered around the dining room. I pulled a chair close to me and he finally settled down on the chair with his tail draped over my leg. I couldn't touch him but he needed to be touching me.

When I finished I got up to do the dishes then Audrey ran downstairs and mer-ed and mer-ed and Arnold mer-ed and mer-ed.

I had to sit on the three-people couch so they could BOTH jump up and park with me. Every once in a while a kitty would stretch and wake up the other kitty then a Groom Fight would ensue until they both fell back to sleep.

At one point Audrey was on her back with her paws in the air and her head snuggled under Arnold's chin. He had one paw over her chest and his hind legs parked on her lower half. They seemed to be very comfy.

They came to park with me in the middle of the night - I don't know when. All I know is that my toes were TOASTY.

Believe it or not, this morning the kitty alarm was ARNOLD!

Confused Kitty

I accidentally confused the kitties this morning: My kitty alarm went off promptly at 5:30am so I fed them. Audrey didn't eat much of hers.

Then I took a shower (like on a poohlet day) but after my shower there were no poohlets to get. They were very confused. Especially Audrey.

Then I went downstairs. Audrey figured this must be a non-poohlet day so it must be around 10am so it must time to eat. (but it was only 6:30am) She dashed into the kitchen and mer-ed and mer-ed.

Then she noticed that there was food in her bowl! Yay! So she settled down to eat.

She had her butt jammed into the corner (by the cabinets and the wall near the deck door) and her tail going UP the wall.

As always with that girl... it was very cute.

Now she is all curled up on my lap as I type. She's a little annoyed that I don't have a hand touching her, but she's trying to get over it.

"Mer?"

I slept in cb's room last night. Kitties went psycho downstairs. I got a really good nights' sleep.

Promptly at 5am (I checked) a very polite Audrey-kitty came into the room, walked right up to my face and said, very politely, "Mer?". So I got up and fed them.

I fed myself then went back to sleep on the couch. I woke up aroun 7:30 and one foot was asleep and it felt very heavy. Arnold was parked on my foot! I had to laugh.

They are now sitting in the fliving room window. Every once in a while some ice cracks somewhere outside so they need to stay on guard to protect the family.

I have heat!

The heat guys came back last night and fixed the heat. Yay!

The kitties, however, were NOT pleased with three strange men coming in and out of the house. They were there about three hours and Audrey spent the whole time under the flowery chair in my room.

Arnold was a little more brave --- I think he was hoping we'd leave the basement door open so he could go investigate. We came upstairs once and Arnold dashed into the foyer. Well, that's where the heat guy wanted to go so Arnold dashed into the fliving room. But then he decided he didn't like it there so he thought about dashing back into the foyer. But the heat guy was there. Poor Arnold!

He finally gathered up all his courage and DASHED up the stairs and hid under my bed.

After the heat guys left the kitties were quite mer-y. I was sitting on the floor watching TV and Audrey actually let me pick her up and hold her and she fell asleep. And she snored a little.

We are all happy we have heat.

Audrey-kitty

The kitties were quite despondent (http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/despondent) when you guys left yesterday. They were quite needy. We had a very boring evening.

Except for when I was working on the computer. Audrey-kitty came upstairs looking for me then mer-ed and mer-ed and wandered around the bedroom. She went under my computer table and poked her little nose out. Then she found the kleenex box I have beside the table and stuck her nose in it!

Her little head was in the box practically to her ears!

We all snuggled together in the fliving room to stay warm.

I'm signing off because it's after 10am and I have a VERY mer-y, black, fluffy kitty here who can't understand why I don't shut down and feed her.

Tuesday, December 4, 2007

You should see Audrey right now

I'm printing something with the last of my remaining ink and she has her head almost all the way into the printer watching the paper come out!

Now that it's all done printing, she's sitting on my lap mer-ing and grooming herself and purring. I think she wants to park on my left arm but I have too much to do this evening to type one-handed again.

Kitties Park at Night

I slept last night in cb's room and left the door open. The kitties seemed quite content after feasting on a combination of dry and wet food.

I was all alone and feeling lonely. "Kitties!", I called out. "Kitties! I'm lonely!"

Mrrrrrrrup! In came Arnold and curled up behind my knees. Then Audrey came in and snuggled up next to Arnold and we all fell asleep.

Kitties Park Together

Arnold-kitty was parked next to me on the three-people couch and Audrey was parked under the Christmas tree like a present.

Then, all of a sudden, she merp-ed and leaped up and leaped onto the couch and onto Arnold and began to groom him. He groomed her also.

Then, like they do, they fell asleep together. Audrey had her head on Arnold's pook and her paw parked by his neck. The bottom half of her was almost sliding off the couch. He had a paw on her pook.

When he breathed you could see her head rise and fall. It was very cute.

Pudding in the closet

I heard a different noise. You know, a kind of noise I hadn't really heard before that usually means that a kitty is up to something --- usually up to no good.

So I investigated and what did I see?! --- Arnold's tail sticking out of the hall closet! He had somehow wiggled into the closet!

cb had moved the big box I had blocking the door and the right door wasn't closed all the way so he found a way to slither into the closet.

I got him out then re-arranged the stuff so that all the doors would close and now the closet is closed. With no kitties inside.

Parking Kitties

OK. The kitties have been very needy this afternoon. I think they are having poohlet withdrawls.

If I'm downstairs then they are with me downstairs. If I go upstairs then they follow me.

Right now Arnold is asleep on my bed on my pillow and Audrey-kitty is asleep on my lap!

In fact, I have to type with only my right hand because she insists that I park one hand on her at all times. If I move my left hand away she mers and gets all agitated until she can park on it again.

Cute Kitty Picture (by request of cb)

Yummy, croutons!

The Damp Furry Person (well, cat)

Tonight, cb noticed something hard on the posterior of Audrey-kitty. We decided to rinse it off in the sink. So we did. It took a little while and lots of water because it was so very stuck.

She was very damp.

She went back to eating then decided to wee.

We became very afraid. She was in there for quite a while and we heard lots digging noises and covering noises as well.

She came out of the litter box with her butt and tail COVERED with litter. Mom tried to catch her but scared her half to death so she dashed upstairs. CB had to go quietly and gently find her and return her to the kitchen sink.

We rinsed her off AGAIN with LOTS of warm water. She was very good and very wet. She actually dripped.

We dried her off with paper towels, then cb pointed out that they weren't doing a very good job so we got a dish towel and wrapped her up and dried her off as best we could.

CB got the fur brush and brushed her tail (which was very knotty) until it was silky smooth. Except for the base of her tail... because she began making unhappy Audrey-kitty noises so we had to put her down.

She dashed out of the kitchen. And so did Arnold.

Fliving Room Update

I re-arranged the furniture in the fliving room to make way for the Christmas tree.

Oh, the kitties are so intrigued! The two-people couch is in front of the fireplace and Arnold has discovered that it might be fun to jump off the back of the couch onto the mantel.

They are very intrigued by the tree. They keep smelling the branches and looking at the lights.

Arnold weighs 10 pounds and Audrey weighs 8 pounds. They are getting so big! They seem to enjoy their dry food now and it's fun to hear them happily crunching when I feed them.

This morning Audrey snuggled up next to me, on her back with her paws crossed in the air. It was very cute. But she mer-ed at me when I moved.

The Two-People Couch

I moved the two-people couch today. Oh my! You should have seen what I found under there!

A poohlet sock, a paint brush, a large piece of paper and a straw. Arnold?

Audrey

Audrey was taking a little nap on the back of the two-people couch while I was watching tv.

She stretched and I noticed a little wet spot on her paw where her head had been parked.

Audrey drools in her sleep! (very cute)

Wednesday, November 21, 2007

I accidentally woke up Audrey-kitty

We were both just parking in the fliving room. Audrey was sleeping on the back of the two-people couch and I was just parking on the three-people couch.

My tummy gave a HUGE growl and woke up poor Audrey-kitty! She had NO IDEA what had just happened. She was very confused and it took her a while to get back to sleep.

Arnold seems to be growing

It seems like Arnold's collar was getting tight again. I took it off ---- whew! was that difficult! Why is it that he can unsnap it JUST LIKE THAT but I took forever to get it unhooked???

But I was finally successful and I made it a little bigger so it seemed to fit better.

Arnold and The Sock

He just loves that sock! I tossed it gently into the foyer and he RAN to get it and POUNCED on it and actually slid across the floor several inches. He wasn't hurt.

Audrey and I were parked on the two-people couch when we both heard Arnold's little growl. We both looked over and... there he was, happily playing with his sock on the three-people couch. We both looked at each other... "Silly Arnold!"

What's up in Kitty-land

I opened their dining room windows today because it was supposed to be so warm. They were so happy!

I was napping on the 3-people couch and Arnold was stretched out like a long log with his pook draped over my toes. Apparently we were both very comfortable. I went to move (which you KNOW they don't like) so I gently pulled my foot out from under his pook. Well. This got him quite hoozy-froozled. He woke up, stood up all groggy, moved around, jumped onto the coffee table, jumped back onto the couch, jumped onto the back of the couch... he just couldn't get his act together. I got all snuggled in the blankets and ignored him a little bit (once or twice: "Arnold! Come here sweetie pie! Park right here!") and he finally settled down and went back to sleep. With his pook draped over my toes.

For a little treat I mixed the dry kitty food with half a small can of cat food. They were so happy! Audrey-kitty made all kinds of happy kitty noises that scared Arnold half to death. She sounds like she's gargling and purring and mer-ring all at the same time. It's very interesting, to say the least. It was fun to watch them and listen to them crunch the dry food while lapping up the canned food.

Arnold needs his claws trimmed. I wonder if he'll let me do it by myself?

Audrey Hogs the Bathtub

It's very cute.

When I'm finished with my shower Audrey-kitty is almost always waiting outside the door and Arnold comes a few minutes later. Audrey-kitty jumps right into the bathtub and begins investigating the drain, the spout, any water droplets... everything.

She gets right up underneath the spout so that Arnold can't even get close! So he waits patiently for her to be done then he gets to do his investigating.

She is VERY WET by the time she is done - her fur is usually flat on the top of her head and her paws are dripping wet.

We like to nap

You know, kitties sleep A LOT. If you really look at them during the day and watch what they do, they mostly sleep.

Then they get a little psycho at night.

Arnold played with his sock for a LOOOOOONG time on the floor by the steps. Then he carried it over to the couch and played with it there behind me while I was on the computer.

He left to go play with the cat dancer. Then Audrey-kitty was lounging on the couch behind me. I took the sock and started to play with it with her. She was happy to play as long as I kept the sock within reach of her while she was laying down. If I lifted it too high she wouldn't bother to play!

For their late night snack I gave them half a small can of kitty food along with their dry food. They were so happy! I watched them eat and I actually SAW Arnold spit out a chunk of dry food and keep the wet food in his mouth! (silly kitty)

But they were apparently really hungry so they ate ALL the food in their bowls and licked their bowls clean.

Needy, Sleepy Kitties

I'm in the fliving room working on the computer. The kitties mer-ed and mer-a-a-ed for a bit then settled down to nap.

I'm sitting criss-cross-applesauce and I have a sheet and a blanket around me. Arnold is curled up between my knees. Audrey was burrowed under the sheet beside me for a little bit. She just now strecthed and came out from under the sheet and is now rolled up in a little ball on top of the sheet. Except that she has her head jammed into my hip.

And she is snoring.

A "CRASH" in Kitty land!

I was in the fliving room, minding my own business when I heard a gigantic CRASH!

ZOOM! --- two kitties flew down the stairs and disappeared into the kitchen.

I went upstairs to look for damage. Apparently the kitties had jumped up onto my tall dresser and had knocked down the little table-side fountain box. It was ok.

And so were the kitties.

Friday, November 16, 2007

"Ting-a-ling"!

After the poohlets left the house was very quiet except for a little dinging noise.

I carefully followed the noise and found Audrey-kitty playing with the little bell from her collar that we couldn't find before! Well, she found it and she was enjoying playing with and was not pleased when I took it away.

I am now doing work and Audrey-kitty is tightly rolled up into a ball next to me on my bed.

A Very Boring Day in Kittyland

Oh we are so boring.

All we do is eat and sleep and poop. Really.

And sometimes play with a sock. (that would be Arnold)

Audrey-kitty has come out of the litter box with some, shall we say, extra stuff around her tail. I keep catching her every time she leaves the litter box for a "butt check". If there's anything there I rinse it off in the sink. Or, I wet a paper towel and clean off her entire butt-al area.

She is not pleased about this. Oh well. Can't have her swinging her butt in my face while we nap if it's not clean, right?

We were all napping once and Audrey fell asleep while grooming Arnold so she had her paws wrapped around his neck while they both slept. It was very sweet.

Arnold in the Closet and kitty pictures

You know how the closet doesn't close very well by the dining room? I've been able to keep it mostly closed, but apparently Arnold was able to slither in and investigate one day while I was gone.

I came home and there was a knitting needle with red yarn halfway out of the closet. AND there was purple yarn all over the fliving room! Very cute!

I don't know if you can tell - Audrey's tail is over her nose(!)

No comment necessary...

Kitty Cuteness

Aren't they adorable???
I like how Audrey's paw is parked on Arnold.

Arnold Growls... and Other Kitty Stories

Arnold found a sock somewhere and was very protective of it. If I came anywhere near it he growled. Once he even hissed at me! I'm so glad he's protecting the family from the dangerous sock.

Audrey-kitty is sitting on the table next to me and watching me type and watching the letters appear on the screen. She is quite entranced.

I lit my birthday candle from Pat last night. Arnold came right over to investigate. He felt the warmth from the flame and promptly walked away. I was so worried that they'd be hurt by a candle. I should have known they are too clever for that.

I fed them Salmon Dinner this evening and they were not pleased. I was surprised. They nibbled at it politely but walked away. So I decided to be sneaky... I opened a can of People Tuna and mixed it in with their kitty salmon. I mean, I MIXED it in as best as I could. The kitties LOVED it. They didn't eat it all - they left behind the SALMON! Really! They were able to nibble the tuna around the salmon (or, spit out the salmon). Amazing.

Kitties are still fascinated by the bathtub after my shower. Today Audrey stood on the edge of the tub and watched the water drip from the faucet. She'd stick out a paw to try to catch the water drop then shake her paw violently when it got wet(!) Arnold watched the drips drop into the drain and tried to catch them before they went down the drain. He'd whack at the water with his paw then shake his paw vigorously when it got wet. Silly kitties!

Audrey-kitty has now had enough of watching me type and is curled up in a little ball on the 3-people couch. Arnold is behind me on the 2-people couch, also rolled up into a slightly-small ball. Audrey just gave a big sigh and it sounded like a little snore.

That's it from kitty-land! More tomorrow.

Damp Kitties Again

But not because of the bathtub...

They were so distraught that I'd closed their windows. It was raining for Pete's sake! But, being the kind-hearted person I am, I opened their dining room windows for them.

And they both quickly jumped up and sat in the window. They didn't care that it was raining. They didn't care that it was a bit chilly.

I noticed the effects of the rain when they jumped down and came over to visit and their sides were damp(!)

Silly kitties!

kb takes a video

Audrey-kitty cracked up kb so she had to take a video.

Why do the kitties have damp tummies?

Audrey came over to me while I was on the computer to visit. Her paws were damp and her tummy was damp. How could that be?

Well. I discovered the next morning... after my shower the kitties investigate the tub. They like to walk along the edge of the tub investigating. BUT, every once in a while somebody slips and slides into the tub, which gets their tummy quite damp and also scares them quite a bit.

Whoever it is LEAPS out of the tub and dashes out of the bathroom until they've recovered enough to go do it again.

Kitties Roam in the Bedroom

I was working on the computer when I heard a thump! and an Arnold-kitty growl. I got up in time to see my polka-spotted sweater disappear under the bed.

I was able to get it away but it took some persuading and lots of growling (from Arnold) before I was successful.

Meanwhile, Audrey-kitty was parked ever so comfortably on kb's green bathrobe, looking unbelievably adorable. (as usual)

They are VERY happy that I've been leaving their favorite windows open.

And both kitties curl up at night with me while I sleep. Heaven help me if I move, though...

Sunday, October 21, 2007

Sleepy Kitties

I was working on my computer (in my room) and I just let the kitties roam around.

I was getting ready to shut down when I noticed Arnold-kitty on the bed beside me. He saw me and started just purring and purring. Very happy kitty.

But where was Audrey? I stood up and looked around and there she was --- parked on my little couch, on top of the red cua pillow. Completely parked on the pillow, no body parts touching anything else.

They were so cute I didn't want to move them.

But I did.

Kitty Check

I was working on the computer last night (in my room) and I finished late. I didn't hear anyone in my room but thought I'd do a kitty check anyway.

I found Arnold under my bed, next to a pink fuzzy sock and looking very sleepy.

But where was Audrey-kitty? I couldn't see her anywhere. Oh well, she must have gone downstairs.

So I went to wee --- and there she was! Asleep on the little orange towel/rug I have next to the tub.

Very cute.

Arnold Tickles Himself

So Arnold was taking a nap today on the 3-people couch all rolled up in a little ball with his tail over his eyes.

All of a sudden his head jerks up and, eyes closed, shook his head and licked his paw and groomed his face.

Then he tucked his face back under his tail and fell asleep again.

I think he tickled himself with his tail while he was sleeping.

Kitties in the Bathtub

OK - so this morning I let the kitties roam around my room while I had my coffee and read my email. Then I took my shower.

When I was finished they were both stretched out on the floor outside the bathroom door. Then Arnold came into the bathroom. He was a little frightened by the fan noise, but he is very brave and curious so he came in.

He leaped up onto the edge of the bathtub. Then he carefully put his two front paws into the bathtub. All I could see was kitty-butt. Then he carefully let himself down into the bathtub. Remember, it's wet in the tub from my shower.

He walked carefully over to the drain. The faucet was dripping and there was a puddle of water around the drain. He thought that was fascinating. But then he'd put his head too far under the faucet and get dripped on. That made him leap up and back away from the drain, shaking each little paw as he lifted it. Then he would shake his head. Then he'd go back to invistigating the drain. Then he'd get dripped on. Then he'd leap up and back away.

I think he did this about four more times.

Then Audrey-kitty got curious and jumped up on the edge of the tub.

(ooops! just heard the Arnold growl. what is he up to? he's got the jester costume between his teeth and he's trying to pull it off the chair)

As I was saying, Audrey-kitty then carefully lowered herself into the tub. She carefully investigated the drain. When her head got dripped on she LEAPED up and jumped out of the tub, scaring Arnold and they both dashed out of the bathroom in a hurry.

It didn't take long to recover, though and they went back into the tub to carefully investigate some more.

(ooops! there's the arnold growl again! and he's dashed under the bed with a flash of purple! he's got the jester costume again and he's dragged it under the bed. rescue the costume and put it out of reach, i hope, and come back to the blog.)

I think they're done investigating the bathroom. Yes, they're done - Arnold has jumped onto my chair and is now growling at my brown-polka-spotted sweater. And now he's trying to drag my sweater off the chair while growling at it.

[sigh]

Guess I'd better rescue my sweater and find these busy kitties something else to do.

Nothing new in Kitty-land

Really, nothing much going on.

Just sleeping and eating and mer-ing.

I just took a peek at Audrey-kitty and she opened her eyes halfway and gave me a killer look.

She must have known I was typing about her.

Signing off in kitty-land.

More to come --- when they actually do something interesting...

Audrey-kitty

So I was on the phone with one poohlet and chatting with the other one and the kitties were napping - Arnold on the 3-people couch, Audrey on the 2-people couch.

I heard a noise! Like a thump!

It was Audery-kitty! She'd stretched in her sleep and fallen off the top of the couch!

She climbed back up and gave me a killer look (it might have been because I was laughing, or it might not). Then she went back to sleep.

This morning my Audrey-kitty alarm went off at 4:30am! Oy!

KB Misses those Kitties

'tis a sad day in KB world. KB missed those poohlet kitties a lot. Mom added those hilarious pictures of Arnold napping, and KB misses them even more even though KB is laughing sooo hard. KB and CB made enough money to get our wii. CB found this nice one, but of course, Dad had to do some research. He searched soooo many stores and they were out of stock. "Hmmm...." we all pondered. Dad thought that there might be a new wii coming out. But of course, because of KB-Ways, KB found out why so many stores were out of stock.

The reason is because these wii's, yes, they're in a high demand in the U.S. That's why. So dad, being Dad, did not go with CB's wii. But instead, this (new) wii from Amazon.com. Well, yes, our wii is on its way. It should arrive during Mom's week on Monday. Hmm...that's 5 days not including tonight/today. Yay! Maybe Mom will let KB and CB go over on the Wednesday after the wii arrives so we may play on it.

That is all KB has time to say.

Another Arnold Picture! He's so cute!

Soooo cute!!!!

New Pictures!

Those Kitties!

I'm sitting at the computer madly working on homework and stuff for Bill.

The crazy woodpecker comes back to mess with the front of the house. Kitties leap onto the two-people couch to investigate.

All of sudden they both rocket off the couch. I've never seen them move so fast!

Well. Then I figured out why: somekitty farted. Oh my oh my oh dinosaurs.

I had to stay because I still had work to do. Thought I was going to pass out.

Arnold Bdot --- Protecting us from WHAT!?!

I'm minding my own business, watchng tv, doing stuff on the computer.

I hear Arnold's "dangerous" growl. What could it be?

He has a book sox in his mouth and he's growling. I go to take it from him, he grabs it between his teeth and dashes into the laundry room. He drops the book sox and stands guard over it. And growls a little. He is NOT happy when I take it.

Now, Mr. Dangerous Arnold is chasing his tail while on the 3-people couch. EVERY TIME he grabs hold of it he falls off the couch and scares himself half to death. He's done it at least three times. When will he figure it out???

That Audrey-kitty!

She's so funny.

So, she was starving and starving, acting like she hadn't eaten in DAYS (when in reality it had only been a few hours) so I decided they should split a Friskies.

"mer, mer, mer! Feed me! feed me!", said Audrey.

Well. Arnold ate all of his lickety-split and Audrey only ate about half of hers. She was wandering around the kitchen mer-ing so I showed her her half-full bowl. Not interested. I put it down on Arnold's placemat. "Oh! What's this? Arnold's food? Well, I'd better eat it!"

So she did.

One cute thing from Sunday

I came out of my bedroom after my shower and two kitties were waiting patiently by the poohlet bedroom door. "Mer?", asked Audrey.

"No", I said, "they're at dad's this week."

"Mer", Audrey said sadly.

Arnold just stood there outside the door, waiting expectantly for me to open the door and get the poohlets.

"Sorry pudding," I said, "the poohlets aren't there."

So I sat there a little bit and petted them and scritched their ears to try to make them feel less sad.

Then I farted. Three times. They left me.

You Will NOT Believe This

I'm minding my own business, watching tv and doing some stuff on the computer.

Miss Audrey Kittikins decides she'd like to park with me.

She is currently in a loaf on my chest. I have to lean back a bit so that she doesn't roll off (pardon any typing errors).

Now she has turned around and her butt is practically in my face as she kneads my pook. Good thing I can type without looking...

Now she is parked - butt high, head facing downwards. I have to sign off...

Arnold-the-snake

I got a burst of energy and felt like organizing the garage. I thought I'd let the kitties investigate the garage and keep me company.

It was so nice outside that I thought I'd crack open the garage just a little bit. Just a LITTLE bit. A TEENY-TINY bit. I swear.

So Arnold joined me happily in the garage and investigated everything. He thought the cracked open garage was interesting but he investigated other stuff, too.

Audrey took a little bit longer to come into the garage. She investigated things v-e-r-y cautiously, as is her nature.

I let them wander around while I put together the shelf I got from the Gribbles for my birthday. I'd take a break every few minutes and count kitties. One-two --- ok, good.

I heard a very strange noise. I couldn't imagine what it was. I glanced at the garage door and there was Audrey, sitting very nicely and politely, watching while Arnold slithered under the cracked-open garage door! Honestly --- he was all squished down and all I could see were the bottom third of his hind legs flat on the ground. Then, whoosh! he was gone.

I was afraid to open the garage door --- I was afraid the noise would make him run away so I dashed into the house and went out the front door. I went around the corner and there he was! Calmly standing outside the garage. He looked a little quizzically at me, like, "how did YOU get there?" He began to investigate the driveway but I picked him up really quickly. He was NOT happy to go back into the house.

I put him down in the foyer and he walked very quickly back to the garage. Not a run, exactly; I think he didn't want to give away his plan. He was going to slither out again! I quickly closed the garage door ---- which scared them both a little.

So, leaving the door closed I finished working in the garage and they finished investigating. When I was done Arnold was actually in the house and Audrey was still sniffing something by the lawn mower. But she let me pick her up and bring her into the house.

They were both so put out by having to come inside that they remembered that they were starving and demanded that I feed them. So I did. Marinated morsels chicken in gravy.

Arnold Bdot - Protector of the family

So we watched a little tv last night and blobbed. The kitties were very mello and blobb-y so, when I went to bed I let them in. Well. That's when they decided to get psycho. Crazy! So I politely asked them to leave. Really. I asked them politely.

Then I couldn't sleep.

So I went to the fliving room and slept on the couch. Kitties came and parked with me during the night. Of course, the Audrey-kitty alarm went off at 5:30 so they ate half a can of friskies. I had some breakfast and went back to sleep. The kitties finished and parked with me.

I finally got up and went to take a shower. When I came out of my bedroom Arnold dashed upstairs. "Merrrp!" He just wanted to visit. Then Audrey mer-ed so sadly downstairs. She took a little convincing but she finally came upstairs.

They were carefully grooming themselves - Arnold on top of the kitty tower and Audrey on the floor next to me.

Then we heard a noise. "Vvvvvrrrrrrrp, vvvrrrppp, vvrrpp" , like an electric drill putting screws into something. Cats At Attention immediately. Heads pointed toward outside. "Vvvvvrrrrrp! Vvvrrrppp! Vvvvvvvvvvvrrrp! Vvrrpp." Then Arnold gave his Arnold-kitty growl. It lasted a little longer than usual. "Vvvrrp, vvrrpp." Then quiet.

Satisfied that he had saved his family from certain doom Arnold put his paw on the edge of the top of the kitty tower, put his head on his paw and promptly fell asleep.

Audrey-kitty was a little more suspicious and cautious. She loafed herself touching my knee and stayed alert for a little while longer then fell asleep.

So now all is well.

Oh dear, the poohlets have gone

Yes, the kitties and I are alone again. And we're all a little out of sorts.

Although... you should have seen Audrey-kitty just a minute ago ---- she jumped up way high onto Arnold's box and stood there quite proud of herself. A little shaky, though - that box is not exactly stable. Ah, it just wiggled a bit and she had to leap down and squeak. I think she's insisting that she wasn't scared but that the box wasn't safe.

Now she's on the puce banana. Arnold was parked in the spotted bed behind me until Audrey squeaked. Now he's on the floor beside me watching her. Now he's moved to the foyer and he's groggily watching her - trying to figure out what she's up to. He's very sleepy-looking.

So, that's it from kitty-land --- squeaks and mers and purrs and being a little sad.

Cute Kitties!

When I came out of my room this morning after my shower there were two kitties waiting for me as usual. Then they ran to the poohlet door and mer-ed and looked at me and mer-ed. "come on! It's time to get the poohlets! We do this every morning when you're done with your shower!". I had to say "no. We don't have any poohlets here today.". "no?", Audrey asked. "no.", I said sadly. They were very perplexed and kept running upstairs to mer outside the door then mer at me then mer at the door.

It was very sad. They were super-sad when I left. It just didn't make sense to them.

Another video experiment

Let's try to add a video again...

Aaaaargh! It sounds terrible! What on EARTH is going on?

Kitties go Mer

Just as I wrote that Audrey came into the fliving room mer-in and mer-ing.

Everybody was asleep (everybody kitty-wise, I mean) then the phone rang and woke them up. Arnold looks so groggy! Audrey's been wandering around mer-ing. Arnold staggered over to the wooden chair and had to lay down again. Audrey kneaded me for a little bit then jumped onto the chair and groomed Arnold for a bit. Now Arnold's back in the polka-spotted bed grooming himself and Audrey is grooming herself on the chair.

I think they think they're hungry but I'm making them wait until 9 while I watch Dancing with the Stars.

kb and I had fun walking the kitties this morning. She took Arnold and he investigated just about everything. Next thing you know he had the leash tangled around a bush and managed to ooze right out of the harness. Next thing you know he was up the tree! kb got him down then he dashed over to the garage. She took Audrey and I chased after Arnold and managed to get him. We took everybody in - over strenuous protests, I might add - and dried off the Audrey-kitty and took everybody's leashes and harnesses off. They were so cute! They had a lot to say after that about going back outside but it was almost time for kb to go to the bus stop.

I gave them Friskies Turkey with giblets and Arnold turned his nose up at it. It was pretty funny. Oh well. That's all there was. Somebody ate it eventually - it was all gone when I checked about 20 minutes later.

Aaaaah, Arnold is asleep in the polka-spotted bed. Audrey has finished grooming herself on the chair and has hopped back into the box, perhaps to finish her nap.

A Boring Day in Kittyville

Somebody woke me up at 4:30am today to eat breakfast. You know who I mean...

We didn't do much today. It was so hot, I closed the windows and turned on the A/C. Two kitties were not happy that they couldn't sit in the window.

Went to Costco and bought 48 cans of Friskies. Let's see... four cans per day... that should last 12 days. Plus what we already have. I unloaded the car then closed the garage door. Of course, you-know-who ran right into the garage when I opened the door. Audrey-kitty was a little slower to go into the garage, but, of course, went in and explored. It was very difficult to get them out of the garage!

They investigated everything that came into the house. I believe they approve of everything.

The kitties just ate and now Arnold-kitty is purring behind me in the polka-spotted bed. He actually let me scritch between his shoulders for quite a long time. (two minutes!)

Now it's time for the Litter Box Show then time for the person to go to bed... don't know about the kitties: psycho or sleepy? We'll just have to see...

Pictures for you to enjoy

Friday Update

Well, nothing really interesting to report... we all miss the poohlets.

I heard a little Arnold growl and found him in the dining room with cb's old toe pouch. How did he get it? I didn't know until later --- I took it away and put it on the ledge by the sink. Then I heard a "thump" and saw that Arnold had just leaped off the ledge... with something in his mouth... the toe pouch again! I took away and gave him a serious talking-to.

So, about an hour later I hear the Arnold growl, hear the "thump" and see him dragging someone's jacket off the ledge. Arnold!

So I fed everybody - the kitties had Friskies tuna with egg and they ate everything and mom had noodles with sauce and ate everything.

I did my homework - I made two pages about the kitties that included links and images and sent it to my instructor. Whew!

Kitties, kitties, kitties

Oh I love those kitties!

They seemed to be calm the other night so I let them into cb's room, thinking they might park with me. Turn out the light, get all comfy, hear Arnold's little growl. Light on, take a look - he's got cb's ankle brace.

Take it away and put it in the clothes basket. Turn out the light, get all comfy... hear Arnold's little growl. Light on, take a look - he's got somebody's undies.

Take them away and put them off to the side. Turn out the light, get all comfy... hear Arnold's little growl. Light on, take a look - he's got cb's ankle brace again!

Take it away and bury it deep in the clothes basket and kindly ask the kitties to leave so I can sleep.

Walking the kitties

Well that didn't go so well...

I came home and brought in the groceries. I was putting away the kitty food when I saw a black flash out of the corner of my eye. It was Audrey kitty! "fwappa - dee - fwappa - dee - fwappa - dee." What the heck? She had her hind leg stuck in a plastic bag and was dashing around trying to get it off.

I took it off for her and she dashed under the two-people couch.

Then I put on Arnold's leopard harness. He didn't like. But he did think the leashes were interesting. Audrey came out from under the couch and I put the black sparkly harness on her. She was a little perplexed but seemed to be ok. So then I connected the pink sparkly leash. BAM! She ran off like a crazy women - back under the two-people couch. The end of the pink sparkly leash was poking out so I gave it a little tug to see if I could pull her out.

Much to my surprise the leash and harness came out without Audrey! She'd figured out how to get out!

So then I connected the leopard leash to Arnold's harness and held on tight. I carried him outside and put him down on the front porch. He was very scared.

He investigated a little bit but I could see that his heart was pounding fast and he was breathing fast. He was very scared whenever cars drove down the parkway.

He also made that tiger stinky-face. I think he was trying to smell everything. A bird flew by and he wanted to chase it but I held him back. We went into the grass - he thought that was weird - and walked around the bushes a little bit.

Then he investigated the front porch some more. He got himself all tangled up in a spider web so I decided that it was time to go inside.

Audrey kitty was waiting for us inside the door. Arnold dashed under the chair in the foyer and just rested there, breathing, with his heart beating fast. Audrey sniffed him all over - I guess he smelled like outside. Then she groomed him a little.

They were a little jittery - every time the house creaked they jumped, so I visited with them for about 20 minutes and kept telling Arnold how brave he was and telling Audrey how she had such a bad day with scary things chasing after her.

Then they napped on the kitty tower. I know, I have to post pictures.

I looked at them both and said, "Are you hungry?" and pow! each kitty dashed down the stairs and skidded into the kitchen. The ate half a can each of the big Friskies kind - ocean whitefish.

Now they are chasing each other again.

Where's cb?

Oh dear! cb didn't get off the bus at dad's house. Where could she be?

I knew she didn't have her key so I dashed home and ran into the kitchen. "cb! cb! are you here?" Audrey kitty said, "I'm here!" I said, "I know YOU'RE here, I was looking for cb. "mer", she said and flicked her tail and walked away.

Found cb on the trail, walking to dad's. Whew!

Kitties miss the Poohlets

Well, that goes without saying...

The kitties and I had a lovely Sunday afternoon - we watched football, we did homework, we chatted with the poohlets, we watched tennis, we napped. Truthfully, I did all those things - the kitties just napped.

They had a lovely dinner then they watched the Litter Box Show. I decided that the show needed a theme song so I made one up: "It's the Litter Box Show! It's the Litter Box Show!" then I realized that it was the same tune as the Candy-Cane girl. Ooops! Gotta make up a new tune.

Arnold wee'd after I'd cleaned the box all up then I cleaned out his wee. He and Audrey were very perplexed - "where did Arnold's wee go?" They sniffed around and wandered around the litter box for a few minutes trying to figure it out. I put the lid on and took the trash out. When I came back Arnold had pooped in the box! Clever boy - he waited until I had gone so I wouldn't clean it out. And he was right - I was through cleaning out the litter box for the night.

They were very sleepy kitties. When I came out of my room from brushing my teeth they were both asleep in the kitty tower. I slept in cb's room and left the door cracked a little bit. Sure enough, kitties wandered and settled down. Before I knew it I was in a kitty sandwich - Arnold kitty behind me and Audrey kitty in front of me. Those kitties are toasty!

BTW - I took down the doll house so they wouldn't be distracted by it.

They were crazy-psycho this morning - running around, up the stairs, down the stairs, dashing through the dining room then the fliving room. But they finally calmed down. Arnold napped on top of the kitty tower and Audrey napped on the arm of the two-people couch.

They seem to be hungry now - even Arnold keeps looking at me and mer-ing. Guess I'll go feed them.

Sleeping Kitties

Aren't these just the cutest kitties?

Silly Kitty!

Arnold-kitty just woke up, did the Halloween-kitty stretch, leaped off the couch and staggered over to his favorite box. He got into the box, turned around three times and now he's asleep again.

Kitties miss Poohlets

The house is oh-so-quiet without the poohlets here.

They are snuggled on me and near me and Audrey-kitty is snoring a little.

I miss you, too.

Thursday, August 30, 2007

Did you ever think BOTH kitties could fit into that box?

Too silly! Arnold was fast asleep in the box and Audrey leaped in and began to groom him. Then she fell asleep right on top of him.

Audrey-in-a-box

Audrey kitty enjoys a nap in Arnold's box.

The Case of the Missing Collar

That sneaky Arnold! I came home and found Arnold with a naked neck AGAIN! And this time I had more trouble finding his collar.

After some serious sleuthing I found it near the three-people couch. But then he wouldn't stand still long enough for me to put it on. At 8pm I was *finally* able to put his collar back on. Not a very happy Arnold. But collar-ed.

Wednesday, August 29, 2007

Where is Arnold's Collar?

Hmmm... I came home from class this evening and discovered a collar-less Arnold! Where could it be?

I walked around and looked but didn't see anything. Then, when I sat down at the computer... there it was! Neatly on the floor in the fliving room.

Now that he's eaten some dinner, though, he's pretty psycho so I think I'll wait a while before I try to put it back on.

Kitty Alarm Clock

My Audrey-kitty alarm woke me up at 6:15am this morning. I slept in cb's room with the door open. They seemed to be calm in the night and never did go psycho in cb's room.

They ate a whole can each of something, I forget what already.

Then they went PSYCHO! Dashing around the fliving room, running back and forth into the kitchen. I understand now how they knock Arnold's water bowl: they're running so fast into the kitchen and they skid into Arnold's mat to help them stop and that sploshes water all over the mat and the floor.

Audrey-kitty had litter stuck in her back paws again. She'd stick a leg out and lift up her foot to clean it, look at it, go "eeww, no" then put it back down. I took her to the sink and rinsed her paws off under the water. She fussed a little but basically let me do it. Since I had a nice hold on her I also cut her nails. She squeaked just a little but let me do all four paws, including her thumb-paw nails.

I was watching tv in the fliving room and Audrey was squeaking up a storm. She had crawled up the into the back of the 3-people couch! I could see her body lump as she moved back and forth along the inside of the back of the couch. I got worried and pulled the couch away from the wall and she came right out. I guess she wasn't stuck after all.

She's back there again now and Arnold is going a little crazy trying to figure out where she is. He's squeaking a little, too: "where is that girl? why can't I see her?"

They were hungry hungry at 10am. They shared a can of shrimp and tuna feast but they still looked hungry. Each one cleaned his/her bowl then went over to the other bowl to see if there was anything there. So they shared another can of shrimp and tuna feast. Arnold ate ALL of his and Audrey ate most of hers.

They're so cute!

I wonder when they'll take a nap?

Sleeping Kitties

After being psycho for about an hour the kitties settled right down and fell asleep.

Arnold was parked on my lap for about an hour. Then he woke up with a start and licked his leg and cleaned his face. Then he left my lap and went over to Audrey and licked her head (she was sleeping in the box). Now he's back in the polka-spotted bed and blobbing with his eyes half open. I think he'll go back to sleep soon.

Kitty Snot

By the way, I was able to hold Audrey over the sink and rinse off the area that looked like kitty snot.

She's all clean now.

Lonely, hungry kitties

Since today was trash day I gave the kitties all new litter last night. I put in a new bag and poured the litter in. I just left it in a big mound so Audrey jumped right in and spread it all around nicely so she could wee in it. Then Arnold pooped. I cleaned it right up so he jumped into the litter box again and wee'd. I waited until he went into the fliving room before I cleaned that up, too.

I had to go to work for Bill this morning so the kitties were alone most of the day.

I slept in cb's room with the door closed until about 3am. I got up to go to the potty and the kitties were asleep outside the door so I left the door open. They came in and parked next to me.

My kb-kitty alarm woke me up at 6:30am. "mom! mom! wake up! i'm hungry!" So they got fed.

I left home around 8am and didn't return until 7pm. Ooooh, the kitties were hungry! They ate a whole can each and now they are going absolutely psycho. Jumping on each other, pouncing on each other, chasing each other all through the dining room and fliving room.

Uh oh... I think someone just fell off the chair in the kitchen. I just heard a noise and they both came tearing out of the kitchen. ... Just checked, everybody's ok. Audrey's tummy is a little damp. Maybe she crashed into her water bowl.

Just another day in kitty-ville.

I read something cute today: Dogs have owners and cats have Staff.

Monday, August 27, 2007

I just couldn't resist adding this one.

Cute Kitties

It doesn't get much cuter than this, don't you think?

Arnold-In-A-Box

How cute is THIS??

Can you believe they go psycho?

Look at this sweet sleeping kitty. Hard to believe she'll be psycho-kitty in about three hours.

If you look carefully, you can see that Audrey's head is much lower than the rest of her.

Kitty Alarm Clock

I was awakened by a squeaky Audrey kitty - "mom! mom! wake up mom!" Oy! I thought it was way too early but turns out it was 1 minute before I had to get up! So I got up and fed the kitties Beef Feast and Gravy. Arnold wasn't too happy to see that but he ate some of it.

I got back from the airport and went back to bed, only to get up an hour later to go to an appointment. I fed the kitties Salmon Feast. They liked that!

I went to my appointment and came home a took a nap. I was tired!

Audrey kitty sneezed on herself today. It looked like there was a little bit of kitty snot on her coat. I tried to wipe it off but I couldn't get it. I thought she would groom herself and get rid of it but she hasn't yet. (eeeeeww) What should I do?

I fed the kitties again around 11:20am.

They ate Chopped Grill Feast at 6pm. They ate a whole can apiece!

Every time I napped a kitty or two came snuggling up with me.

Even now, as I type this, I have Arnold kitty curled up in my lap, purring and fast asleep.

Audrey kitty is so cute

I gave the kitties half the can of Friskies for dinner and they really liked it.

Around 9pm I gave them a can each of tuna and whitefish and they ate it all up. Around 10pm I was still in the kitchen and they were wandering around me and squeaking so I gave them each half a can of tuna and chicken feast. They ate almost all of it!

I was getting ready for bed and, when I came out of my bedroom, Audrey was waiting for me on the puce banana. I picked her up and she purred. Then she blobbed and fell right to sleep! I stood there for as long as I could then I slowly tried to go into the fliving room. She woke up then and jumped out of my arms and went into Arnold's box and fell right back to sleep. And that's where she is right now.

The Door Game

I just HAVE to tell you about how they play to door game with each other:

I was parked in cb's room and left the door open the other night. Arnold went behind the door and Audrey was in front of the door and the door was at a 45 degree angle. Arnold stuck his paw under the door and Audrey pounced on it! Then she stuck her paw under the door and Arnold pounced on it!

It was so cute. They did this for at least 20 minutes, chasing each others paws under the door.

Those kitties are just so cute!

Wild Kitties!

These kitties are absolutely wild! They were psycho kitties again until at least 2am. Is this new or were they always like this???

I think I fed them... I don't really remember. I got squeaked at by Audrey-kitty at 6:15am so I fed them beef with gravy. Arnold took one look at it then looked at me and said, "Is this it? Is this all there is?" He ate just a little bit while Audrey ate most of hers.

When I came out my room after my shower the poohlet kitties were parked outside cb's door and sniffing under the door as if they were looking for poohlets. They still miss you guys!

I fed them again right before I left for church. This time was salmon in gravy. They seemed to enjoy that. I fed them the whole can because I knew I had to go to school and wouldn't be back until later. I could see that they ate most of it.

When I got back I found two VERY hungry kitties! So I fed them half the big can of the Friskies chicken with gravy. They loved it!

Right now Arnold is asleep with his head parked on my leg. So cute!

I was taking a nap earlier and Audrey kitty jumped up on me which scared me half to death so I squeaked which scared the Audrey kitty who squeaked even louder.

Oh dear --- I just looked down at Arnold to admire his cuteness and he woke up. He stretched then wandered over to his box, climbed in and fell right back to sleep.

These kitties are just so cute!

The kitties miss the poohlets!

After the poohlets left on Friday night the kitties were very sad. They snuggled up against me - Audrey on my lap and Arnold next to me. And I was sad, too. We just didn't know what to do with ourselves.

I put myself to bed in the poohlet room and the kitties went absolutely psycho. They were running around and crashing into things well into the night. Around 1am I decided that I wasn't sleeping and neither were the kitties. So we all went downstairs. They had a snack and I made myself some cereal. Then I slept in the fliving room and so did they.

At 6am I got squeaked at and fed them breakfast and I went back to sleep.

At 9am I got squeaked at so I got up. They ate another snack and I mowed the lawn. I came back inside and they were fascinated by the grass on my shoes. They followed me into the dining room and sniffed at the places where my feet had stepped. I took my shoes off and put them into the garage.

After my shower the kitties went psycho again. I think they ate again, too. I've lost track.

At one point Arnold was on the puce banana then he reached up and grabbed the top of the doorway. He was just hanging there, with his little feet hanging down. I got up to help him but before I got there he had figured out how to reach his foot back to the puce banana and got himself down safely.

cb came over and they settled right down. They parked on cb and slept and slept and slept. It was very cute. Audrey-kitty just blobbed and purred and Arnold-kitty purred.

kb came over. The kitties were a little distracted by all the commotion of packing so they were a little wary of the kb. But then the kb-kitty blobbed on the kb and seemed very happy. But then kb had to go! The storm was about to begin so they had to get back to their house.

Oh dear. We miss them all over again.

Audrey's new favorite place to sleep

How cute is this?

Any Excitement?

kb took a shower and when she came out she had a kitty in her towel.

Kitties woke me up this morning at 5:45am. Audrey squeaked outside cb's door: "Mom! Mom! Time to get up! Feed us! Mom! Time to get up!" OK, ok... so I got up.

These have been very hungry kitties! They have been eating a whole can of Fancy Feast at least four times a day, sometimes five.

They have been very snuggly, too. I think they are going to miss the poohlets when they go back to dad's next week.

We'll just be sitting on the two-people couch and a kitty will come snuggle up and go to sleep. If you pester it too much, though, it'll leave.

Arnold parked on the airbed last night while we were watching tv. He stretched and was on his back. He woke a bit and raised his head and seemed to be watching tv like a person! And his legs were crossed! I tried to grab the camera real quick but he stretched and curled up like a cat again.

Psycho Kitties

I woke up at 4am, so did the kitties. They thought they were going to get to eat. Not a chance.

So they went psycho - running around, up and down the stairs. Good thing the poohlet bedroom doors were closed.

At 5:45 I let them convince me to feed them. Then I went back to bed.

When I got downstairs at 9:30 I saw that all the food was gone. I'd given them each one can of Beef Feast.

We were in the kitchen, having played with the kitties and a sock when I heard something a little funny. Into the fliving room we go - only to discover someone had been sick on the carpet. Hard to tell who - but we're thinking it was Audrey... but it could have been Arnold. The world will never know.

Got that all cleaned up then cb decided to vacuum the kitchen to make sure that no one eats anything off the floor that they're not supposed to.

Now they are completely psycho - running around, up and down, back and forth, around and around.

Audrey gave cb a wedgie this morning. She was sitting on the floor (cb was) in her pj pants when Audrey wandered up and stuck a paw in her pants and gave cb a wedgie(!)

Hope they calm down soon.

A Great Day for Arnold

Today Arnold went to the vet, to get his stitches removed. On the the way to the vet Arnold decided to take care of some business in the back corner. It was sooo heinous!!! Once we got there and Arnold was in the office it was time to remove his stitches. They put him on the silver table thing, and held him by his scruff. He was soo not happy when they were removing his stitches. He squeaked a little, and growled. After they had removed his stitches they put yellow powder on his ear, and squeezed it with gauze to stop the bleeding. Arnold growled. Apparently that part wasn't supposed to hurt.

We took them home, and feed them some Chicken Feast. They were happy. Then they took a long nap. We went to Costco and bought stuff, and and came home to find the kitties napping. Arnold was on the bed in the Fliving room and Audrey was on the Puce Banana in the sun. We fed Audrey some dinner while Arnold napped. When Arnold decided to get up we fed him, and gave Audrey some of his food. They both enjoyed some dinner.

When we investigated Arnold's ear later we discovered a stitch that the vet hadn't taken out. Guess we'll have to call tomorrow and see what we need to do.

And the kitties are bored - every time someone goes into the kitchen they RUN in thinking they're going to be fed.

Mom took a nap while poohlets did Study Island. cb wouldn't let kb help her with Transformations - probably because kb is really good at them and cb didn't want to be shown up by her younger sister.

KB Sneezed On CB

It was a typical kitty day, when we were watching tv. CB said that she had to sneeze but she never did. Then all of a sudden, KB SNEEZED. Just becuase KB always sneezes to her right, she sneezed on CB. We all cracked up! GO KB!

We let the kitties in all the rooms today, then explored. Arnold growled at Mom's fuzzy bag.

Yesterday, Arnold growled at my cheesepuff (pillow) and at Mom's glove.

Kitty Alarm

As usual, Audrey woke me up at 5:59am. Hungry kitties! I fed them then went back to sleep.

When I decided to get up for good and shower, etc., it was nearly 10am.

So, I took Audrey kitty and went into kb's room and placed Audrey gently on top of her. Wake up kb! Arnold joined us upstairs.

We took the kitties and woke Charlotte up the same way. Good morning cb!

I went to Giant and found some nicely inexpensive cat food. So I got some. I gave it to them for dinner. Arnold was hungry enough so he ate about half of it but Audrey didn't really want anything to do with it, though.

So I guess we'll stick with Fancy Feast. (these people have the craziest website I've ever seen! What is UP with this?)

Another Lazy Kitty Day

Today Audrey got us all up at exactly 6 o'clock because she was hungry. After breakfast we all napped. Me and KB watched TV, while the kitties napped. The kitties ran around for awhile, and then KB wee-ed. Audrey was standing at the top of the stairs waiting for her. She did the same thing when I wee-ed too.

We fed them half a can of food at 10, and then another half at 1. They gobbled it all up! They got fed green food, Chicken Feast.

Now the kitties are taking a big long nap. Arnold was on the bed, and then slid off. Audrey is napping on The Puce Banana.

Sleepy Kitties

Last night there were some difficulties getting kitties to sleep, but once they were, they were very cuddly.

Audrey curled up with me twice last night, Arnold, once. In the morning, she cuddled again, left, then came back to cuddle once more. I needed to wee (and so did CB), and luckly enough, Audrey realized and left. After I wee-ed, there was Audrey waiting at the top of the stairs. The fridge made a noise and woke up Arnold, so CB got to wee at last. Arnold did some very funny poses in his sleep and I managed to get a few pictures. Audrey hogged the 3-people couch. She would curl up with me, and then later I would feel these paws on my posterior pushing against me. Audrey also enjoyed to push her head into my leg while she slept.

Later that day, the kitties were being amused and amusing on the Puce Banana. Audrey would climb on the ledge and stare at who knows what, and Arnold just played with CB's hand.

Oh those squeeky kitties! They were squeeking up a storm so CB called Mom to ask to feed them. They each got a half of Chicken Feast. Arnold ate all of his, Audrey, not quite all. We (as in CB) rinsed out their bowls while I typed this. Now she is eating.

Currently, Arnold is walking very slowly from the table to the 3-people couch where CB is eating mac. He was being very cautious.

That is all for now.

They even eat differently

Arnold goes right to his dish and chows down - taking big bites of food. Audrey daintily licks hers and eats it in a very dainty manner.

Funny thing, though... each one finishes at about the same time.

Audrey just did her "Halloween Kitty" stretch - it's so cute. She keeps telling me she wants something but I can't figure out what she wants. So we both just look at each other and meow. It's more like "mer?"... but we still can't figure each other out.

Earlier today I heard a funny noise. I couldn't be sure what it was - I'd never heard anything like that before. I went tip-toeing through the fliving room, then through the dining room then through the kitchen, caustiously peering around the rooms looking for kitties.

Imagine my surprise when I saw them both in the sink in the bathroom. They'd both jumped onto the top of the litter box (the noise I'd heard) then jumped onto the counter and into the sink.

They both looked at me with those big eyes - "We haven't done anything wrong! Pay no attention to us! Everything's fine, I think!"

Arnold's ear seems to be healing with no problems. He hasn't scratched at it for several days. He used to sort of paw at it, realize that hurt then shake his head back and forth a few times. He must know I'm writing about him - he just jumped up onto the table and burped at me. Like a poohlet. But with worse breath.

Lazy Sunday

Arnold was sick last night. Poor little kitty. I wonder what's up with his little kitty tummy?

Arnold was downstairs this morning and Audrey was about three steps up and she POUNCED onto his tail! I just saw this black flash out of the corner of my eye - it's Audrey flying through the air.

Today I went to the place where we got the kitties and gave them my extra kitten food. They only had two kitties there today. Skippy looks like a little Arnold and Murphy looks like a creamsicle.

This morning Arnold was in the kitty litter box and Audreay waited patiently outside the bathroom door until he was done. It was very sweet.

They're running around like wild kitties but 20 minutes ago they were snuggled together sleeping in the polka-spotted kitty bed.

Sunday Update

Arnold was sick last night. Poor Arnold! I don't know what's up with this little poohlet kitty.

He seems to be ok now, though. He's been eating just fine today.

I took my watch off to type on the computer and now Arnold's trying to eat it!

They've been very cute lately in the morning: If Arnold's in the litter box then Audrey waits outside the bathroom until he's done. It's very sweet.

Audrey pounced on Arnold this morning. He was by the fliving room investigating something on the floor. Audrey was about 3 steps up on the stairs. Next thing I know, out of the corner of my eye I see Audrey flying through the air! Not a jump so much as a pounce! Right onto Arnold's tail.

Today I took the extra kitten food to the pet store where we got the kitties. They only had two kittens there today: Skippy (who looks just like a little Arnold) and Murphy (who looks like a creamsicle).

Snuggly Kitties

Today has been a snuggly kitty day, in between being a busy kitty day.

This morning Audrey saw a bug in the window at the puce banana. It was stuck between the window and the screen. She got up on her hind legs so she could get a better look. Then Arnold joined her and they watched the bug, both standing on their hind legs. Audrey managed to get herself up onto the narrow window ledge. Arnold's feet are just a little too big.

When they took a nap mid-morning Arnold was all snuggled up on the chair on the purple bunny! So adorable!

Now they're running wild around the dining room, chasing a fly. Audrey leaps up to try to catch it. It's so cute.

Boring Kitties

Friday was a very boring day in Kitty-land. We mostly just rested and ate.

They're so cute - whenever I go to bed or take a nap there's always someone joining me. Usually it's Audrey, all curled up in a little ball. But sometimes it's Arnold. He doesn't stay long, though. He gets all stretched out then gets annoyed that I'm taking up more room that he wants, so he usually leaves in the middle of the night or nap.

I woke up once while napping on the couch and Audrey was snuggled against me and Arnold was parked on some blankets near my head.

He fell asleep on my lap but didn't stay long. He got all stretched out then rolled over and nearly fell off my lap, so he moved.

Kitties and Medicine

I was never able to put Arnold's cone on, but since he mostly slept after you guys left it didn't matter. I think Audrey popped one of her stitches, though. We go back to the vet on Saturday to check.

I gave him his pain medication last night when he was just waking up from a nap. He didn't really realize what I was doing until I'd already done it. It only has to go in his mouth, between his cheek and gum so all I had to do was move his lips away from his teeth and slide the syringe in. He gagged a little.

This morning I wrapped him up in the towel to give him his medicine. He gave me a killer look but took it ok. He was very happy to be released from the towel.

Kitties pooped in the litter box yesterday! Hooray! I think the leaky posteriors are fixed. But I am curious to see if they pooped in the litter box today while I was gone.

Audrey slept with me last night. She must have come over in the middle of the night because she wasn't there when I fell asleep. She was snuggled in the curve of my knees. She's very toasty.

Busy Kitties

They woke me up at 6am to eat. Starving kitties.

They seem to have recovered their strength after yesterday's surgeries. They were chasing each other around like wild kitties.

The girls came over and the four of them played and played and played.

After the girls left the kitties slept for HOURS. They woke up long enough to eat and go to the bathroom but then they went right back to sleep. It's 10pm and they are STILL asleep. They're snuggled up together in the kitty bed on the two-people couch.

Oh those poor sweet kitties!

They were HUNGRY this morning and could not understand why I wasn't feeding them.

When I finished my shower they were both asleep touching my bedroom door - waiting for me to open it.

I let them wander around the garage while I put the kitty carrier together. They weren't too happy to get in. Ooops! Audrey slipped out before I could shut the door! I got her back in and got the door closed without damaging anybody.

They fell asleep snuggled up against each other on the way to the vet. They looked very sweet.

They did very well with their surgery, I was told.

I picked them up around 5:30. They were both very groggy. Arnold looks like he got into a fight. His left ear is about half cut off. The edge is all ragged and covered with black stitches. The vet gave me some special pain reliever for him since his ear will hurt real bad. He's been investigating his private parts pretty much since we got home.

Well, first everyone ate. They were very hungry.

Audrey had an epidural for the surgery and it still hasn't worn off. The vet said that's ok - it acts as a pain reliever. However, she's a little shaky on her back legs. She can't jump and her back legs are quite wobbly. She has a shaved patch by her tail - that's where she got the epidural.

She apparently tried to use the litter box after she ate. Her back legs were quite covered with kitty litter and her back paws were all crusty with kitty litter. Oh poor little thing!

I took her to the sink and gently rinsed off her tail and hind legs in warm water in the sink. She wasn't over-happy but she tolerated it. I got lots of crusty litter pieces off her fur. She looks quite ragged - she hasn't been able to groom herself properly. Even her whiskers are a little crusty.

She's a little groggy, too.

These little kitties desperately need a nap but they just won't go to sleep! They remind me of poohlets.

They were sleeping and I got up to get a drink and they both woke up all groggy. I don't think they want me to leave them alone.

But if I pay too much attention to them they get all purr-y and won't stay still. So, I'm trying to sit here patiently and ignore them a little bit but pay enough attention so they know I'm still paying attention to them.

Poor kitties!

Same old, same old

Oh dear, the kitties are still having digestive problems.

They had a good breakfast, although Arnold didn't eat quite everything. Then they played and ran around. I had to go out for a couple of hours and, when I came back... someone had left a little gift for me on the puce banana.

I called the vet's office and they said they'd like to see it so I scooped it up and put it into a baggie and drove it to the vet's. Hope they figure out what's going on.

They've mostly just played today. They like to leap on each other. I guess "pounce" would be a better word.

Arnold opened a drawer yesterday. He was standing on Andy's chair and he put a paw on the drawer and was able to get it open. He was very surprised, as was I.

Tomorrow is Arnold's ear surgery. Let's hope for the best.

Good Thing They're Cute

I got home from church this morning to find a gift from Arnold behind the washing machine. Audrey went in the litter box. At least, I think that's how it went.

So, pull out the washer from the wall (it's heavy!) Clean up, wash it clean with dishwashing soap, rinse with vinegar then give a healthy squirt of Febreze.

Then it was time for a trip to PetSmart to pick up some new kitty litter. The vet recommended trying Cat Attract (tm). He says that it says it's guaranteed to attract them back to their litter box.

First, though, judging by the consistency of the gift behind the washing machine, I gave Arnold another dose of Immodium AD. He still doesn't care for mint... I managed the get the whole syringe squirted into his mouth before he bit my thumb.

I found something called Kitten Attract so I got some of that, brought it home and replaced the litter (we had been using The World's Best Cat Litter) I showed Arnold the new kitty litter and he walked right into the box and wee-ed! Yay Arnold!

Audrey walked in, too, and decided to wee. Then Arnold walked out, turned right around and went back and pooped! Hurray Arnold! It was very exciting.

He even went in again later and pooped again. Wahoo!

We got a huge thunderstorm. The kitties were initially very scared of the thunder but they got used to it.

Then everyone took a looooong nap, including me.

I woke up first and decided to trim everyone's claws. They weren't too excited, but they did ok.

I hope hope hope the potty problems are all done with...

Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Me is KB. Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

Arnold and Audrey are currently lounging on a chair. They are so cute. I carried them back from the vet, they are VERY heavy. Arnold pooped and wee-ed in the kitty-carrier heinously (which is a difficult word to spell). Yes.

Moo. Mom laughed at me because I mooed.

Kitties don't like mint

After a tough night with leaking kitty posteriors, Arnold and Audrey went to the vet first thing this morning. KB was there, too.

The vet decided to give them de-worming medication - once a day for three days - and also recommended children's immodium twice a day until they dry up.

He gave the first syringe and, of course, made it look so easy. The kitties didn't really like it, but they took it.

KB and I went to Rite Aid and got the Immodium. All I could find was mint-flavored. We got home and gave them their immodium.

That's when we discovered that kitties don't like mint. They REALLY don't. But --- they were so hungry that when I put it in their food they ate it.

So far so good. No leaks yet... but we've only been home less than an hour.

Poor Kitties!

One (or perhaps both) kitties have leaky posteriors again. Poor kitties! The vet recommended adding Metamucil to their kitty food. I got some unflavored goop and added it to the salmon feast. They didn't seem to mind. And I think maybe it's working.

We got some tough news about Arnold today - the growth on his ear needs to be removed. Since his ears are so thin they'll have to remove some of his ear, too. So sad!

And his ears are one his best features!

While he's having that surgery he'll also get neutered... Tuesday is shaping up to be a tough day for Arnold. And he has no idea.
